what's wrong guys? is it that ugly? NO , it's not ugly at all ... in fact very very nice. That goes without saying. Thanks for the example. And my comment to it is that entire guitar is quite nice and unique, Really quite a nice Heritage all the way around...!!!! I just got kind of lost thinking of what different finishes would look like in this.. very interesting.. -------------------- '99 Eagle CENTURION , __ '92 H-150CM ASB, __ '00 H-150CM VSB, __ '94 H-157 Blk w/Sheptone pu's, __ '89 H-140CM Trans red,

i laminated this trc from 3 layers maple veneer, turned 90° to get stability.
then i cutted the rough form orientating at the original. what looks a bit out of the middle was the same with that plastic one. staining the right tone was more difficult than i thought, 'cause the body's trans black has blue shades in it. so i thinned blue ink with water and made a light blue stain first to let the coming trans black appear colder at the warm maple color. the bright outline is just getting visible through filing a phase. -------------------- ![]() Diezel Herbert - prototype |

Oh yeah?... you made that ... very nice. Your effort really paid off. It matches quite well with the guitar finish and I can imagine that was difficult to achieve. It would be a cool option with different finishes.... -------------------- '99 Eagle CENTURION , __ '92 H-150CM ASB, __ '00 H-150CM VSB, __ '94 H-157 Blk w/Sheptone pu's, __ '89 H-140CM Trans red,

it is not that difficult as it may appear.
important is to glue good that the stain doesn't get between the veneers, that you will see later in the natural phase. it needs hard pressure. there are many cheap stainpowders to buy, but you should test it first and let it dry - don't forget, the clear coat changes again! i'm sure you can make it. Hi,
I recently had two beautiful ebony truss rod covers with custom mother of pearl inlays by custom luthier in PA for my H-535 and Sweet 16. I had to carefully measure my original ones because they where different in size. I will post some photos soon. I highly recommend them. Excellent quality and service.
