    Happy NAD!

I'm with bolero on lacquering or shellacking it. I always liked to use amber shellac on raw tweeds. I think that would look great over the natural patina it's developed; and help keep it from deteriorating.

Just regular old shellac from Home Depot?

  2. New Used Amp Day.

Couldn’t find a taker for that Marshall DSL20C.  Even loaded with a Celestion Creamback, no one is buying.

So I went looking for a better pedal platform like a Fender HRD or Quilter MicroPro Mach II.

Was offered a trade on a 1990’s Fender Blues Deluxe with a road case.

Very similar to a HRD, 40W, 1x12 combo.  Effects loop and spring reverb.

Its tweed tolex is a little nasty, but it was a gigged amp for over 20 years.  It had it power caps replaced a few years back.  Everything sounded good on it.

I resemble that remark.  This happened to be a gig in a club in Memphis.

LOL, you're certainly not a no-one and well versed on the fretboard.

My comment was a bit harsh, perhaps I'd say not as popular for many guitar players out there.  Not a mass appeal, but does have a place in the world.

If you could get half that amount, I would say "SOLD"! (if you wanted to sell it).  $8-10K would be the most expensive Heritage ever sold by more than two times.

I sold my archtop Golden Eagle Florentine cutaway (1 of 5 or so made)  that was dead mint for well under $4K.

But no one plays those big ol' gals.  The new H575 retails prices are up in the $4.5K mark, but the equally priced Custom Cores outsell them.  Rarity doesn't equal demand.

I would imagine the H357 would sell instantly at $4-5K.  I know people actively seeking one that are willing to pay now.

“What a willing buyer would pay….”

With the larger guitar world more familiar with Heritage and the rarity of this model, I still say my estimate is correct.  However, you're right its a matter of finding the right buyer, so it would take some time to sell.

  6. I had Seth Lovers originally in mine.

I went to a rather unorthodox set of pickups, Railhammer Hypervintage Bridge and Nuevo90 in the neck.

Since I play more heavier stuff, I can't use unpotted pickups and the owner of Railhammer gave me the artist package deal on them.  (I'm not a Railhammer endorsed artist, he's just a cool guy to work with)

  7. Saw a thread of FB today asking who has H140’s.

One gentlemen posted a triple humbucker H140 in Rose Natural.

My first thought was a refinish after the triple pickup install or it’s Antique Natural.

But no, the cover says Rose Nat.

Any other unique finish names out there?

  8. I made the decision to add a pickguard to my 535 last year after going six years without one.  But when my 535 was build, Heritage went away from the wooden pickguards and were using a single-ply ugly black pickguard that resembled but was nothing like the original style.

Heritage since changed the design completely, updated their hardware, and moved to a 5 ply B-W-B-W-B pickguard.  While I love it, I don't like there wasn't a Black & Cream option or gold hardware.  I may look into a different company for the right materials that match my guitar.  Hardware isn't as noticeable as the pickguard.

New to the forum. I have had my H 150 for several years now it seems to be an 03 or 04  and it is one of my favorites of many favorites. I would post pix but size is to big will have to figure that out. I love guitar pictures.

I upload using my iphone, when selecting the photos, there is an option to reduce the size.  I usually select Medium and it fills the page without exceeding the file size limit.

Hello, my name is Rob, and if UPS comes through than later today I will be the owner of a new H-530 which I have bought from CME at a great price.  I'll post the details of the guitar under a NGD thread.

This will be my first Heritage.  My other guitars currently are a Tele, a Jazzmaster, and a Martin HJ-38 Stefan Grossman.  I play the electrics through a Victoria Ivy League and the usual pedals.

I'm an enthusiastic hobbyist.  This summer, as a positive result of working at home during the Covid lockdown, I've started jamming with some other old (late 50s to early 80s, and I'm 61) guys weekly in one of my neighbor's front yard.  For the past 10 or so years I've also been playing rhythm guitar in contra dance pickup bands in Philly and Princeton, NJ.

A couple of years ago I took some lessons from an instructor who had a 535; other than that all I know about Heritage is what I've read on the Internet.

I've been to the Martin factory twice -- perhaps someday I'll have a chance to go to Kalamazoo.

    Best to all.

Welcome to the Collective!  Can't wait to see the pictures!

New to the Heritage family.  Been interested in a while but hadn't seen any in real life.  Dealer in town got a few in and thought they were nice.  I opted for an Artisan Aged H-150.  Wow.  Very cool.  Excellent build quality, sound and playability.  I would prefer a hair fatter neck, but not a show stopper.  Here is the latest addition to the family.

    Congratulations!  Looks fantastic!
