Duncan makes better pickups in my opinion. the JB is an A5 wound to 16.4K... Not a design from the Gibson line available similar. Enjoy your oxblood!

Its not about the features this model had in a particular year, As a dealer I ordered several 535s built with block inlays on the neck, usually with bound and inlayed headstocks because I believed they looked classier and not too expensive as an upgrade. The original builder golden era was truly a boutique builder corporation, ask and they would build!!

There are a few facts that you briefly bounced over in your amazing note. You live in Detroit, nearly 2 hours away from the gathering... quite the task and the results were a complete success. Also when you originally started discussing the possibility of attempting to continue on the Festivities there was a divided reaction, some like me were solidly behind you and others expressing negative feedback...
