bolero Posted April 24, 2014 Share Posted April 24, 2014 just saw the 575 strings thread...I assume the same recommendations can be made for an Eagle? right now I have roundwound standard electric strings but it's not getting that PHAT jazz gtr sound....I guess I need some flatwounds? thx! Vanschoyck Posted April 24, 2014 Share Posted April 24, 2014 I agree that you should try flats and see how you like them. Remember that there are jazz guys getting great sounds with round wound too. The difference will only be on the wound strings after all. (Hope that's not just stating the obvious.)
