Ghostbound
I know a few people were curious as to how this thing sounded with a bit of gain. I managed to dial in a pretty thick, mean tone while still retaining a bit of the woodsy warmth I want in a distorted tone. In essence, my "metal" tone is substantially less over-driven and is very reliant on picking dynamics. I favor mids and tend to keep everything pretty even. The playing on this sample pretty much sucks, but I am a fan of the tone I was able to get out of the amp and guitar. I was mainly just improvising in an effort to "explore" the tone. I am playing through the lead channel of my Hughes and Kettner Switchblade 50. The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan Custom Custom. No post-processing, mic'd with an SM57. -Alec
fxdx99
Cool - I like that, both the playing and the voicing.
