I had some unexpected bills come up and needed the money. I rarely played it. I still have my Millie and my H-150. They aren't going anywhere. Guitar Works in Evanston currently has two Heritages in stock, one new and one used. They've carried them for at least 6-7 years, since I became a devotee. I have no idea as to their official standing with the company, but they've always had a handful of new/used on hand. Another very cool shop worth a visit regardless of Heritage affiliation. I've got one purchase in play that just oozes practicality and frugality. This is an indulgence. I will lust from a distance and imagine in my stable. Kinda like your holy grail car...you just imagine that maybe one day, it'll be in your garage...(In my case an early 70's GTV....but I digress..) bluwoodsman Posted May 10, 2017 Author Share Posted May 10, 2017 Well we made it to CME without a lot of time before having to be someplace else, which was a mistake--lots of things to look at! I found an excellent condition used USA G & L ASAT that I spent some time with--and was hard to pass up!-- wished I had more time to look around. I didn't have time to make it into the acoustic room, downstairs to the basses or next door to the drums, and I spent a good half hour as it was in the store. An employee said he didn't know if they were still a dealer or not, but just had one Heritage in stock, a 535 they had just taken in and wasn't on the floor yet. He would have let me look at it but I had to run at that time. He implied they all like Heritage a lot, but their brand recognition was poor with customers and they didn't get enough interest in the ones they had in. Chicago Fret Works had a white H140 last time I was in for some work on my guitar. That's near the Lou Malnatis in Lincoln Square if you're still in town. When I first discovered Heritage I wasn't quite sure about that pick guard shape but it has grown on me to the point to where I wish all my Heritages had one. My H150 H575 and H535 all came with Gibbie shaped guards. Maybe one day I'll find "correct" ones. Especially for my H150 which deserves a nice bat wing wood guard, it currently sports a plastic Gibbie type. My 575 also yearns for one. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
