Super quiet killer amplifier?

So, I have a Yamaha THR10C because it get's me the clean tones I want plus it's small and has wife approved looks.

I would LOVE to have a Fender Blues Junior (the upgraded tweed one). Everytime I go to a guitar store I model on those and it's SO much my favorite.

BUT, I live in a tiny condo in the city and tube loud is out of the question. The other thing to consider is that my only practice time is when the toddler is asleep so that all equals me ONLY getting to play with headphones on except for the once every 3-4 months where I can go scream out a jam session at my cousin's country field house! :D

Anyone have a good suggestion of an amp that might be better for me than the THR? Something that can get quiet but also have headphone options. I was thinking perhaps a Boss Katana 50?

I "need"/want a looper too so I'm not sure if there is an amp with that built in perhaps?

So many questions! I appreciate all of your expertise!

This may sound odd.... but try a Quilter Microblock 45. It's a pedal sized amp that is actually 45 watts with a great clean tone and is a perfect platform to use effect pedals with. You can use headphones or crank it on a 4x12 cabinet with a full band.

I miss my old Blues Junior along with many other amps I've sold over the years.

I'm really happy with Quilter amps....

I love what you already have. I have a THR10 and am amazed at the sound I get at practice levels. The Katana 50 is intriguing. I happen to use my Mustang III v2 a lot but it is quite overkill. I use it live with our band all the time. At 100 watts I prefer its presets over the katana but when practicing, those yamaha amps are something special.

there is a 360 page thread about the Boss Katana on the gear page.

I was interested in the amp and found that thread in google.

I read it all.

The take away from it for me was I had to stop reading about it in that thread and play through one. So I did.

The Katana. Its a good sounding amp for the money. A step up from their previous line.

Seems like all these types of things from any brand are pretty good now.

I have a THR 10 at home for late night Netflix practice and it has some killer tones, I have to admit.

I have a Line 6 Amplifi 75 in the office and it is really cool. It is weird to be controlling an amp with one's phone, though.

Line 6 has really gotten their modeling stuff down compared to the old Pods. Both of these amps have nice stereo FX which can fill a room with some kind of illusionary thing.

I have a Boss RC3 mint, original box, manual and box candies up for sale if you want a looper. See the for sale section if interested.
