Congrats to Cajun and a good story. I admire your discipline, owing over 100 guitars but never over 8 at one time. A great way to try a bunch out and find out what you really love. A trick I should learn. Regarding the pics, open a photobucket or similar account then copy the links here with the postcard looking icon tool.

In retrospect.... I think perhaps the best way to cut costs without scraficing quality would be to take the 150 use the 140 body thickness....Drop the weight, not the sustain. No more weight relief required....

 

 

You're not going save much at all on two respective mahogany body blanks of that width if they're both 1 piece. The width effects the price quite a bit more than thickness, a 2 piece back on an H-150 would be a cheaper option.

I don't consider a one piece back to be a deciding factor.

 

Most are two pieces these days on Heritages. One piece is an expensive upgrade.

 

Even Gibson opaque finishes hide the three or more....
