NEW HERITAGE DAY....AN OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

The first one of these I owned many years ago had a tone sucking Kahler on it. I wasn't impressed.

These guitars are uber rare to begin with...and to find one in good shape and a hardtail, its a win/win.

Its a 1986 Heritage H127.

The seller said he sold it to a guy who had returned it with claims of a "twisted neck".....that was total BS....the neck is perfect. It sets up perfect, low action. The stock Schaller pickups have been replaced with Carvin pickups, but kept all the VARI-PHASE components in original working order!

I took off the Schaller bridge and tailpiece and installed Tone Pros locking hardware.

While I had it taken apart, I decided to buff out as much of the pick scratches and hazing as possible without completely taking apart the VARI-PHASE system. It cleaned up really nice!

So here we have a 24.5 scale, Tele body, set neck, 24 fret, lightweight, dual humbucker rock machine! Only Heritage could have dreamt up such a combination.

It doesn't have the original rectangular Heritage case, which is kind of a bummer, but, all is not lost. It was a good price for a great, early, rare H127.

I dig that one Brent. Not into Carvin pups but that thing looks nice. Love that headstock

I cant say that I'm a big fan of them either.....but I'm not messing with that rats nest of wires in there for that VARI-PHASE system....lol
