I have decided to go with the TonePros LPNM04 as its just easier in terms of info and accessibility not to mention the price.

However, should I get the notched or non-notched saddles ???

Advice greatly appreciated!

thank you!

If I get the notched saddles and they do not line-up properly can I get a tech to redo the slots or do I have to buy replacement saddles???

I apologize folks on this topic as I have not experienced this modification before!

I certainly appreciate the replies and suggestions!

The technical reason for going notched is that you don't have to notch them yourself.

But some folks like them smooth, that is why there are options

It's debatable about notched or not. I've purchased notched myself and they seemed fine. But if you want to make sure the strings are spaced properly for the fretboard or pickups, you may want to have them professionally done.

One of my pet peeves is a high E string too close to the edge of the board and with a pre notched bridge I'd worry that is what I'd wind up with. I've gotten unnotched bridges and had no problem notching the saddles to my liking.

I bought a set of double sided nut/saddle files from Philadelphia Luthier Supply on e bay.
