Maple fingerboards

I've never seen a Heritage guitar with a maple fingerboard.

Seems like they could make something custom if somebody ordered it, but I don't know. Maybe it is kind of a stupid question, but I was just wondering.

H-162’ had maple necks. We don’t hear much about them but I am using mine more and more as I am in a band where it is appropriate. I found this vid:

I have listened to that very creative video many times and was always under the impression that it was Jaques playing.

In fact I have hazy memories of PMs to the man himself regarding his approach to soloing.

Here he is again..............

Sorry about any misunderstanding, That is not me. That is Jacque playing the red 162. Although he and I  are of the same vintage and so are our red 162s.

Personally,  I like ebony on the Heritages and maple on the Fenders.  

Once you go Ebony, you never go back....
