Balance between Cheap and Lazy - New Footswitch Day

Recommended Posts

Last year or so, I purchased a Quilter MicroPro Mach II.

It does not come with a footswitch.

At the time, there were a couple options.  A cheaper switch that switch channels and turned the Reverb on/off.  Or much more expensive switch that had multiple functions for channel switching, boost, tremolo, reverb, effects loop, etc.

But the cheap option is to make your own if you know which ethernet cable pinout controlled a specific function.

So I was too cheap to buy the expensive pedal and too lazy to create my own footswitch.

Quilter created a new two-button footswitch with a small selector knob on top that you can customize to control any of the functions on the amp for $10 more than the standard two-button footswitch.

This is perfect!!!! Compact, and easy to control.  Absolutely love it!

I like that new pedal. Altho' my Aviator can't use it. Seems very functional. And a much smaller footprint. I went with the do-it-yourself for the Aviator. Simple toggles for Reverb/Channel. Altho' honestly, I rarely use it.
