Gitfiddler
Heritage did not make their own tailpiece/trapeze, etc. or any hardware. They had a variety of suppliers over the years.
pressure
The finger tailpiece has always been used on the Heritage Johnny Smith model (now discontinued) because that's what Johnny wanted.
TalismanRich
Looking back through some old postings about the Heritage tailpiece, it appears that it was a Schaller manufactured item, which Heritage then enhanced with the ebony accent. Check out post 11 on this page. https://www.jazzguitar.be/forum/builders-bench/37964-finger-style-tailpiece-questions.html Schaller dropped quite a few parts over the years, including the pickups and stoptail that Heritage used for years. znerken
Think I’m giving up. Heritage hasn’t answered in over a week. Suddenly stopped answering. Just the fact that they have no option list, and just the finger tail piece had me being skeptical from the start. Ordered several custom guitars in my life, but never experienced something like this. I guess they don’t want my money.....Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This thread has really gotten me thinking . . . next time I order a guitar I want to see if I can get it with no stool on it.

Hey bro even college aged "master builders" need a to blow off some stream every once in awhile. I've heard the old guard was so lazy that wouldn't even show up on Fridays. To work or to collect a check.

Yes after I sent them a pretty upset email telling them I would write about this on different forums, they responded immediately. The whole experience has been a PITA. Just the fact that they refuse to sell custom orders through dealers is very frustrating for me. I have a nearby dealer, would’ve been so much simpler than to shop something from the other side of the world.
