1988 STAT DELUXE...REVIVED

Like many other guitar makers, Heritage threw their hat into the shredder guitar market in the 80s.  Heritage wasn't as successful as most, at least they tried....lol

This was Heritage's cream de la cream of their shredder line....the STAT DELUXE.  There was a Standard STAT that was a flat top and different electronics configuration and a different headstock style (more like a strat)

I bought this guitar as a husk...well it had the tuners and nut on it.  LOL

It has a bookmatched, carved flame maple top.   Honduran mahogany body and neck (set neck), with an Indian rosewood fretboard.

I decided to put stock Schaller pickups back in it, just from a historical standpoint....but they really do sound great!!!

It came stock with the Kahler "Spyder" trem.  Kahlers best trem system, IMO.

The neck is a medium C, with lots of dings n bumps on the back.....the guitar, as a whole, is in great shape for it age....its been played.   Surprisingly enough, there are no headstock breaks, or tips broken off and repaired.

All in all a very fun guitar...and quite rare.

Interesting....my Stat has a "D" Serial number which means it was the year before but the headstock is like the Gibson Firebird. My H-162 has the pointy headstock like your Stat. They are cool guitars for sure.

Good to see you posting Gio.   Hope things are still intact after the quakes.

Hi Rich! thanks for asking. Everything is good in San Juan. All the damage happened on the south side of the island.
Puerto Rico does not get a break, really.

Guess the cold, snowy winters in Chicago weren't so bad after all?

Very cool! Almost all the Stats I've seen have the Kahler 2300 Pro trem, not a Floyd type.

The Spyder wasn't Kahler's best tremolo system--that would be the Steeler, which was as good or better than the Original Floyd Rose. The Spyder isn't bad, but it suffers from the familiar Kahler problems of an overly fussy design and being built of soft alloys that wear out over time. And now, you can't get new replacement parts.
