Anyone tried low wound PAF’s in a Prospect?

I haven’t tried that in a Prospect, but I have tried lower output pickups in a 535 and I really liked the results. Lowering the Seth Lovers further away from the strings by just a few millimeters can make your current pickups lower output. If you haven’t tried that, you might want to consider that first.

Like a previous poster-I too had Lollars  low wind Imperials in a 535, and I loved them!
My Prospect also has the Seth Lovers, while a great PUP; I did like the Lollars more (especially in the neck). I have zero experience with lowering or raising pup height, so I can’t comment on that aspect.

good luck!

EVERYTHING !!!

I can tell you found your holy grail in a pickup.  That saves years of fussing.

In a way I envy the guys in the 1930s.  They either played acoustic or electric.  If they chose the latter, it was a Charlie Christian almost always.  That still is a popular pickup among Telecaster and some other guitars.  Life was simpler then.
