+1. All good.

But I cant listen to #4. Wont load. All the others are fine but #4 opens up media player and the I get a message that it cant find the file?

Any ideas?

That one is a .wma (Windows Media) file. Maybe try right clicking on the link and saving the file to your Desktop or something? All of the tracks are great; I have it narrowed down to three. :D

I just wanted to thank the Administrator for putting his time in on preparing and moderating the contest. He probably did more work than any of us. I know my wife and I had a good time trying out and discussing different approaches before putting something together. She helped with recording and than criticised the product for me. We througly enjoyed the contest. Now if I could just get about 100 votes!!

Exactly.

Seldom feel the need to act as cheer leader but I hate to see hard work go unacknowledged and I love to see people step out and have a go. <_<

The response is very similar to when I tried to do the favicon last year. Lots of hell yeahs and good natured jesting resulting in 2 actual responses - one of which was my own. Don't understand why this hasn't had more face time. <_<

Ditto on the kudos to mr admin and the 7 members that submitted the tracks. Really appreciate the effort by all and the end results that are shared here. I didn't vote yet for a couple reasons, but mostly was hampered by just picking one - like that the current results are kinda split across the board.

Am gonna need to listen thru again and figure out which one to pick... need 2 or 3 votes to make this easier. 'course, guess that grand prize of the Golden Eagle makes it too serious for more than one vote.

<_<

The players deserve all of the kudos and appreciation. They went to the trouble to record a track, put themselves out there for criticism and in return they get 382 views with only 18 votes. If the HOC ToP were open mic night, it would be as if six or seven players showed up for a crowd of three and two of those were the bartender and a waitress. I am impressed by the playing and talent, disappointed in the lack of supportive participation. That will not stop me from running another one next month, though. I hope it does not stop members from submitting tracks, either. With that being said...

Voting for HOC ToP Volume One will end at midnight, Friday, October 23, 2009

Hey, Mr Admin... remember, we can only vote once, but we can look and look and look!

btw, For all the guys who posted, I'd be interested after it's all done to hear what you used on your track. It can still be anonymous if you want, but it would be interesting to hear how you put it together, what amp you used, mikes, which guitar, that sort of stuff.

du jour, but I think you want de rigueur

...dammit, Rob, it's catching!

Actually, in this case I really meant du jour - as in of the day (or more accurately - prepared for the day). Just a local colloquialism. Miss spelt it s'all.
