  1. It would seem, to those paying even casual attention, that I did. Yes. You may refer to the first post in the thread if you're unsure.
  2. Just opened the e-mail and watched the YouTube demo videos of the Custom Core 575's. The sunburst is one of the most beautiful guitars I've ever laid eyes on! Color's perfect, and the tortoise shell pick guard and matching truss rod cover complement it perfectly. A very vintage vibe piece! Well done, boys and girls!!
  3. Bird...I always thought that one was a Chestnut Burst, a fairly rare but stunning Heritage color.
  4. The color depends on who's mixing and shooting, and how that chemistry takes to the individual piece of wood. Back in the day, finishes could be all over the place. My money's on ALSB.
  5. It's like a 576, one of which I had - a great guitar - but without the 576 block inlays, bound F-holes, multi-ply body binding, and bound headstock.
  6. All Blues, one of my favorite tunes to run around on! A few of us did it a couple of times at PSP's. And I get a night out, but I wish audiences could be a bit more attentive. 550 sounds (and looks) really nice! Thanks for posting, Tad!
  7. My Super Eagle and a stop-tail 150 built for the late Sam Moss, who introduced me to Heritage guitars almost twenty years ago. I think Guy still has that 150...maybe?
  8. So many iterations of "Thanks!" for your curation of the site, John! I doubt most of us have the first clue regarding what you've invested in the HOC playground for all of us to mess up the sandbox, go down the slide backwards, skin our knees, and swear at the other kids for not getting off of the good swings. You have our sincerest gratitude!
  9. As the swallows' return to Capistrano...The Centurion returns to the forum. Good to hear from you, Fred!
  10. Yes...but the right tool for the job, and if anybody understands that, you do, Daniel! I do love that Core!! But for an all-around-get-it-done Swiss Army Knife guitar, it's the 535.
  11. If I had to make a living with just one of my guitars, the 535 would be the rainmaker, no doubt. Probably gigged more with that one than any other.
  12. All of the above, of course. And if you'll notice, the crack is right where the tang is for each fret. That would make perfect sense regarding both Marty's and Rich's observations.
  13. Another point relating to your question is that Heritage is a relatively small shop, not turning out large numbers of guitars. Therefore, they don't sell in quantity. They are great guitars (I've owned six, still own four), but there hasn't been much demand for the brand in the broad marketplace. There isn't much reason to counterfeit a Heritage, particularly a left handed model, because the brand is largely unknown and demand is low. Counterfeiting something like a Strat or a Gibson R9, even poorly, makes a lot more sense. There are many very knowledgeable people on this forum, skydog52 among them. You'll receive very good counsel here!
  14. Indeed! Season's greetings, and best to everyone in the coming year!
