Heritage Accent introduces new model. Made in China.

Rich, We went to different schools. My math is a little different. Every guitar made in the USA that a musician can't afford is a guitar not sold and not manufactured. In the 60's a teenager started out on a Kent and graduated to a Fender, Gibson or Guild. If a Fender, it was a Mustang the Gibson was single pickup Junior the guild a Starfire 3. What is the current price point for a Collins, Gibson, Taylor or Heritage made in the USA? -

And they weighed a ton! My friend's 2x12 combo buckled my knees when I lifted it, I imagine the 4x10 combos weighed a bit too - Yesterday

Every Chinese guitar sold is one less American guitar sold. -
Those MusicMan amps were great.

I have purchased a couple of the Ascent+ models. Fit and finish are good. Played well out of the box. I think I paid $699 on sale. I have a 535 also. Well worth it. -

I like the neck joint too, but I'm not groovin with the ash. It just looks out of place on that guitar. -

When I saw him it was two Musicman amps. They were 4x10 combos. The Musicmans were loud too. -

$1200 isn't unreasonable. Not all Chinese shops are the same. An Eastman SB59 made in China is $2000. It's not the same guitar as an AliExpress Chibson Les Paul for $250. If they are using a genuine Floyd Rose 1000, that's a couple of hundred bills right there. It looks like they are using a traditional headstock, not a scarf joint. I do like the way they are doing the neck joint on the Ascent+. -
Jags and Jazzmasters were designed for flatwounds . . . their whammy bar mechanisms like flats

The old surf sounds seem to use flatwounds with single coils. https://surfguitar101.com/forums/topic/35423/ -

Sir Brently, $1,200 in 2026 vs $1800 for a US built H150 in 2006, don't know what the currency conversion is but that is not a bolt on neck and these features are arguably something preferable. Without hands and ears on it it's hard to make a value judgment. Best not sell something short just because of where it was built. -
https://mannys.com/products/heritage-guitars/ascent-plus-collection-limited-edition-h-150-ash-top-fr-electric-guitar-matte-black/ I gotta admit, I am very, very interested in something like this! But For a Chinese made guitar, I believe the price point is far too high for what it is? Am I wrong? I love the look, I love the options that it has on it, but I think it is a little bit overpriced, IMO. I would like to know what kind of neck carve it has on it. I’m assuming it probably has a slimmer, 60s style neck on it? I think it’s beautiful! I really do. I think Heritage is just fishing right now, trying to see what the market will withstand. It probably cost them $150 to make that Guitar, so they are testing the waters so to speak. At least that’s how I see it.

Well, there was no dragging, kicking, or screaming. She enjoyed those PSPs as much as I did.

The title included "...so far" The Duke of Tone is redundant. I did have the Prince of Tone back in 2012-13, I didnt like it and sold it. 13-14yrs later I couldnt remember why I didnt like it so I bought the Duke of Tone. This time around, I dont dislike it, it just isnt what I want. The Red2 although a different circuit and intent fills the spot much better...and that sparked the memory of why I sold the Prince of Tone back then, it was because I bought and used the Red2. Still doing circles.

Yep you kept dragging her there year after year while she kicked and screamed!

Missed the first then joined the HOC the following year and went to all but the Covid cancellation. Funny I don’t ever recall seeing Rich…..😆

I saw him that way too. Loud is a mild description. Steve Howe most often uses Twins. Believe it or not, the Motor City Madman (last time I checked) uses Twin Reverbs too.

I know, but at the time, the amp was way too heavy and too loud for what I was using it for... wish I'd kept it, but it was a big, heavy amp. I didn't like lugging around a 63lb amp. -

I've only played a Bassman a few times. I used the SS60 on the Bassman channel exclusively. I sold it to buy a Blues Jr... Hindsight, not the best idea.... -
But the SS60 has a bassman channel!!!
-
I saw Johnny Winter in a medium size club and he was playing through 2 Fender Twins with JBLs stacked on top of each other. That's 170 watts of power through 4 JBL 12s. It was loud. Good times.
-
Had an SS60 too. Let it go when Soldano appeared in the collection. I’d imagine you sold yours when you got the same. I kept the bassman.

Supersonic 60 was a great amp I should never have let go. The Super Reverb is my second favorite amp, just behind the Bassman.
