  1. I’m amazed at how easy it is to play considering it has 11s and I’m used to 10s. It plays really nice! Has a nice hollow body tone I’m not good at describing it, quite mellow when using the neck pickup. Bridge has a good amount of twang. Very long sustain aside from two dead notes. I’m going to get those things that clip on the neck to fix. I am definitely loving the guitar!
  2. Thanks for the suggestion to buy from Green Oak, unfortunately they didn’t have the color I wanted but I was able to talk to Heritage and order this!
  3. I think these look really nice and I’m excited about the 60’s neck. I think I’m developing arthritis because my hand will start cramping after about 30 minutes on my H-150. Definitely wanting one in chestnut or dirty lemon.
  4. So if I do the contact to order thing there would be a reasonable chance they could be able to sell me one? I just figured I’d buy direct but can I expect a good experience from a retailer such as Sweetwater? I’ve never bought a guitar that I didn’t get to play first so I’m a little weary of buying online but figured straight from the source would be good.
  5. Hey guys, I’m new to Heritage in that I didn’t even know they existed until a year ago. I’ve been routinely going on their website and admiring their guitars but lately I’ve noticed most are out of stock. Is this normal or are they potentially discontinuing some models? I’ve been looking at the custom core 150s and Eagle Classic for example.
  6. It’s listed as “tr blue” on the label. That’s a super nice guitar I bet it sounds great too!
  7. I was joking yeah I paid asking price, was able to negotiate an extra $20 for a pedal I traded in though (woo for the small victories). I totally botched any haggling when I enthusiastically said I’ll buy it immediately after playing it. Anywho, I know all anyone cares about at this time is a picture so I’ll oblige. Lighting isn’t great, the blue isn’t as dark as it seems.
  8. Went to check it out today and sure enough it was just the reflection overall it was in great shape albeit with some scratches and dings and most importantly it sounded great! Plays great too! I offered $2,500 and he countered with $3,000 so I said sold!
  9. Thanks for the replies guys and @skydog52 that’s a beautiful guitar! I plan to check it out Saturday, barring unforeseen circumstances, will post back for sure!
  10. Are there any common things one should look out for with these, like how you need to check for signs of a headstock repair with Les Pauls? @skydog52 Can you tell me about its history?
  11. Hello, I’ve been GASing over a used H-555 near me ($2,700 link below) and was thinking of going to check it out. I was wondering if there is anything I should look out for, or if it’s overpriced. If you zoom in near the bridge on the right there’s a long scratch or maybe crack that I’ll be checking out. The description is pretty scant but apparently it has Lollar tuners (which will mean nothing to me if I don’t like the sound) and the bigsby doesn’t seem original. I know very little about these guitars but I know I like how this looks compared to the new H-555s as it’s in my favorite color, I like the inlays and the f-hole binding. I was in the shop a year ago and this was there but I didn’t play it so it’s been there a while. H-555 For Sale
