It has an acoustic pickguard as well as an electric pickguard w/floating pickup.

I just play it acoustically - it sounds quite nice.

 

My understanding is that there aren't too many of these done up as acoustics.

This one was part of a group ordered by Stan Jay in the mid-'90s.
