Bought the Millie DC new at Dave's in LaCrosse back in '04. Had to have it, love at first touch. Besides, Dave made me a good deal on it! It has gold hardware, standard for the MIllies, and the HRW pickups, they are outstanding. And the old-style burst is like a tobacco sunburst, almost black at the edge.

The Millie DC really puts out some incredible tone through the Marshall DSL 401. The Millie is a smaller body than the 535 style, and is semi-solid body, as opposed to semi-hollow like the 535. Which means, of course, that a Heritage lover needs one of each!

This is the repaired cracked neck on my HFT 445. It was a factory reject, but it is a great playing and sounding instrument, stays in tune!

Here you see the repaired cracks. The repaired joint is probably stronger than if it had never cracked.

Aside from the strumming marks, the spruce top had a couple cracks south of the bridge. As Jim Deurloo at the plant told me, "gives the instrument even better tone." He's right, IMO.

I'll try to ease off the hard strumming! This was a factory reject that was buffed up and cleaned by the boys at Heritage, rescued from the scrapheap. It is a sentimental favorite! I've resisted the urge to install a pickup in it so far..
