  1. Hey Everyone, I've just join the HOC and from looking around a bit here on the forums, I'm very glad that I have.

I currently have just one Heritage in my arsenal, though I am now hooked and will be searching the streets of RI and MA looking for more to add to the pack.

Here is my Heritage H535, I love this guitar and coming from playing F-styles for the past 8 years, it's a fantastic change for me. I still love the sound of a great strat or tele, but man does this thing sing to me. I've been recording some demos that I would love to soon post and some great pics as well.

Here is one with my H535, 2stroke amp that a friend of mine had built for me, and my trusted 88 Strat :D

Aha!! There you are. Just went over to TGP to see if you'd replied. Glad you made it over. When you get time, post a link to your vids in the Heritage room. Those are dandy, especially that last one. And again, nice guitar!!

  2. Newbie to the club. I have a '93 Prospect Natural, plus other non-Heritages, too (an old Ibanez 2630, Eastman John Pisano, various Strats and Teles plus basses).

Gonna surf this site for a while gettin' some learnin' on....

    Cheers!

(crappy phone photo, better to come)

Another Prospect owner! Welcome. I had a '99 Prospect. Now in possession of a custom ordered '10 Prospect. Love that guitar. My absolute favorite of. How long have you had the '93?

  3. Hey all. I just got a 1999 H140 CM locally. I'd been on the look out for an affordable LP style guitar for a while and got a crazy deal on a trans red one. I am mainly a bass player but have been playing a lot of guitar over the past few years. Other guitars that are going to be collecting dust for a while are a G&L S-500 and an 1962 Harmony Meteor.

I had heard the Heritage story for years but didn't pay much attention as the Strats were getting it done for me. I play bass for Alison Pipitone, who has played a 170 for quite a while as her main guitar. I was tuning her up once before a show back in the spring and let's just say it got my attention so I've been biding my time and watching for one within my reach.

I dug into the 140 for the first time Saturday night (through a Traynor YGM-3) and... well.... wow. It plays like a dream and sounds great - lots of different tones in there as well. I couldn't be happier with my decision to drive 200 miles in the dark and rain to get it after work on Friday! Pics in the ad I saw are small and fuzzy - I'll snap some good ones and post them up here asap.

Oh, and my name is Ben.

Hey Ben. Welcome aboard. Tell Alison we post her clips here from time to time. Glad to see you're making the leap, yourself. Good to have you here. BTW, pics are darned near mandatory. So, get with it!!

  4. Greetings all... I'm Ron Davidson... A Michigan native (Detroit and Grand Rapids) currently living in Kansas City...

I surf the waters of music on my beloved, and only slightly modified, early 90's H-157... I was forced to replace the gold hardware with chrome, as apparently I have "toxic sweat", and she's my main "performance" electric guitar... The pickguard comes off, goes back on, comes off...

...I'm one of those wierdos who sometimes names his "ladies", and this one is affectionately named Kala Adara, which means "Black Beauty" in Scandinavian or something like that, I don't remember...

...This seems to be a great site... I look forward to the participation in your community!

Ron, I see you made it to the HoC!! Excellent. Did I forget to mention you'd need to post pics or you'll get razzed for not doing so? Got to see Kara Adara if you're going to mention her. You could post a pic of that sweet bass you were playing Saturday, as well. Welcome, and hope you stick around. I think you'll find us to be a rather fun bunch ... most of the time. ;) .... Ken

  5. Thanks for the welcome and the pics of the Blues Deluxe are up in the members gallery

There's a big LOVE on the HoC for the Prospects and the Blues Deluxe version. Maybe not so much for ER. But def for the Prospect and the Blues Deluxe. :icon_salut: That's a pretty one you got there, too. Welcome.

  6. Hello,

I just bought my first Heritage guitar today. I played it all day at a vintage shop yesterday, and went back today to get it. I love it. I've been trying to find out more information about it, but I can't find much. I was told by the owner of the shop that it was an SAE custom. It has a serial number starting with "F", so apparently 1989. It has two f-hole carve outs, but it does NOT have a pickup switch.

I tried to attach a picture of it. Not sure if it worked. Anyone with info on it, I would be grateful.

I'm so glad I found it. I went in looking for something else, but couldn't get away from this baby.

    Thanks HOC.post-1126-1244094286_thumb.jpg

FW, welcome to the HoC! You may be ... just may ... be the first member here with an actual SAE. And what a beauty! There's not a great deal in our database (that I know of) about the strictly SAE guitar. Short lived, I know that. The SAE was incorporated later into the Millennium guitars - as I have a Millennium SAE. Much like your guitar except it does have a selector switch and a slightly different body style. You could always call the guys at Heritage (yes, call them, you'll be surprised by their accessibility) and ask Ren about your guitar. 269-385-5721.

My guess is your controls are Vol-neck, Vol-bridge, Vol-piezeo, Tone. Interesting that there is no selector switch. Still, congrats on such a beautiful and somewhat rare Heritage guitar.

  7. Hello!  Woody here.  I have a Heritage 150P Goldtop.  I bought her used in 1998.  I was new to playing and found her in the back of the guitar store.  I asked my wife to buy her for me as a Christmas gift that year.  I have a few more guitars now but she's a definite favorite.  I'm glad I stumbled in here and I look forward to talking guitars with you folks.

Just replied to your post in the Dating Guitars. Welcome. And ..... where's the pic of the 150P? Are you one of the Ebayer's thats recently picked up the "P" models? Been a few there in the past couple of months.

  8. Hi folks,

I have a sickness…and its name is Heritage Guitars. In the last 16 years or so, I have owned more than 30 of them, buying, selling and trading them as my illness waxed and waned. My collection to date is comprised of:

    • [li]HB-2 five-string bass[/li]
      [li]H-158 Millennium w/ Seth Lovers and a Bigsby[/li]
      [li]Kahuna[/li]
      [li]H-150 w/ Lollar P90s[/li]
      [li]HFT-485 (flat-top mini jumbo acoustic)[/li]
      [li]H-555 w/ old style VIP electronics[/li]

    Mr. CDT, meet Mr. BrentRocks.

Mr. BrentRocks, meet Mr. CDT. I believe you are both out to achieve the same status in life: To own one of every model made by Heritage.

And BTW, Mr. CDT, you are in violation of the First Posting Act of the HoC. You have listed numerous Heritage guitars and posted pictures of none of them! You do get a one time pass, so please, before you are inundated with the dreaded TTIUWOPs smiley, please show us your guitars. Oh ... and welcome to the HoC! Good to have you here.

  9. They do make a weight relieved. Katie had her H150LW at the PSP1. It was very light, around 7lbs+/-. And was extremely resonant. Dry, a note just wouldn't die on it. Wolfe Guitars will have one or two in stock most times, I do believe. And Marv told me they'd weight relieve any of the solidbodies if asked.

Or you could get a Millie NFH with the look of a solid body, but the sonic capabilities of a semi-solid.

  10. Ok, another question..By the way thanks for the info about the A series guitars..What are P-rails? My H-140 seems to be completely stock..It's an 85, so does it have P-rails? I'm guessing it's a type of humbucker..Any help on this? Thanks Smurph

If your 140 is stock, it won't have the P-Rails. That is a very recent pickup from Seymour Duncan. Tries to combine a P-90, SC and Humbucker into on pickup. I think Big Bob on the forum here has them and likes them. Here's a link

  11. Hi Smurph1 here, I'm a bit confused by this whole message board, but I think I have the right place now?..Hopefully..LOL..My guitar is a 140 model made in 1985...The Serial # is B04703, which means it was made on November 14, The third guitar made that day..Is that right? You guys do the math..I think it's right..LOL..Have a good day..

Well, except for posting the same message twice in the same room, yeah, you got it down.  8)

Kinda cool to find out you've got a real piece of history, eh? Any "B" serial number is one to hang on to. BTW, don't be shy about joining in on any of the other rooms: Family Tree, Heritage Guitars, posting a neat 'bay find in ... well, the Bay. Whatever.

  12. Hey..Smurph1 here, I don't want to be a pain, but I don't have a digital camera to take photos..Does that mean I can't participate? I would really like to be a part, I just bought my '85 Heritage less than a week ago..I am curious to learn more about these awesome guitars..Any Ideas, opinions? I don't wanna be on the outside looking in just because I don't have a camera..It's a tough economy out there..Thanks Smurph1

Of course you can participate! It's really isn't mandatory to post pics. But we all love our porn, so we like to oogle everyone else's Heritage guitars. So, what color is it? Pickups, etc. That is stuff we need to know.

  13. Hi everyone,  I just joined this evening....  and just received my one and only Heritage this morning from the UPS folks,  now the proud owner of a 2005 H-140CM 2nd edition w/ HRW's. Looking forward to learning about these great guitars and the people who love them.    Can someone tell me how to place a picture on my profile ? Thanks...

HI and welcome to the club!! A 2nd Edition H140? Awesome!! Not sure about adding a pic to your profile. But you darned well need to add a pic of the 2nd Ed. right here! It's kind of the law, you know. New guy, new guitar - pics!!! To add one here you can use the "Additional Options" and browse for one on your computer hard drive. Or you can use the little img.gif Icon and insert the url from a web folder. You can also cut and paste into your thread. Whichever way you choose, get us some pics!

Alright, just took a look at the profile. Go into your Profile and use the Forum Profile Information link on the left. That will bring up a page where you can load your avatar, etc.
