  1. Tim Pierce is a Pro's Pro Guitarist.  Nothing is ever flashy, but everything is perfect for the application.  He has said before is working on trying to play faster and he really is not a shedder at all.  I believe many on this forum could play faster than Tim.  BUT he can play over any chord progression and have the perfect melodic solo.  He doesn't play the same old tired licks, but is imaginative and melodic.   I love TP's playing and he seems like a really super guy.

He is also an adamant proponent of new guitars overs vintage guitars.  He says new guitars (including PRS) play better, have better intonation, and sound just as good as vintage guitars.  He believes we are in the golden era of guitar making and I absolutely believe he is correct.

It doesn't surprise me that he loves Heritage Guitars along with other new company's builds (Heritage, Collings, PRS, Harmony, Novo, ect....   Great video Tim!

I had HRWs in my 535 but thought them to lack flavor.  I replaced them with SD Phat Cats and love it's tone now.

I am with Bird on HRWs.  I liked them enough I guess on the big hollow jazz boxes, but found them incredibly hi-fi,  with no character in semis and solidbodies.

I which direction are in a 535 1/4" narrower than a 335?  My '19 measures the same as my 335 did (the 535 replaced the 335).  These guitars have pretty big dimensional tolerances.

Both, my '64 Memphis Reissue 345 and my Murphy Ultra light aged '61 335 are approximately 0.25" wider in the body (rim width) than both my 555 & 535.  Ren, told me specifically that the 535/555s are a little narrower (to reduce feedback) and the F holes are a little wider on Heritages.  If your 335 is not a reissue of a particular vintage year, maybe your 335 is a little narrower than the vintage year reissue Gibbys?

What on earth would they change on the 535?

I get the enthusiast demand for a 1959 LP,  but a 535 too? It's already a better guitar

The 535/555 bodies are slightly narrower than the 335/345/355 (I believe a good 1/4 inch narrower) and the F holes are larger on the 535/555.  So Heritage could make a 535 CC model that would be more vintage accurate.  Just saying, that would be one reason why.
