Mikenov Posted February 11, 2008 Share Posted February 11, 2008 I just ordered the 5/16th pocket truss rod wrench from Stewmac. Is this the right size? I had a hell of a time at the hardware store this weekend buying and returing 5/16th drivers . None of them could get into the "cavity" far enough and I didn't want to strip anything so I was being extra catious. Let me know. I think thats the right size but I don't want to wait 2 days if its the 1/4 inch version. Any advice is much appreciated! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Cryoman Posted February 11, 2008 Share Posted February 11, 2008 Gibson electrics come with (and I am nearly certainyou can buy one separately) a nut wrench. It's basically a short 5/16" with a 90 degree angled handle. I suppose you could make your own but you'd need a non-chromed socket and then you'd have to anneal it so it could be bored for the handle or, alternatively you could weld to it.
