Beauty of natural relicing and broken in.... do you inherit weather checks on the guitar body as well?

I am a sucker for honest play wear/natural relic-ing. If I were given the choice of two identical guitars, one in mint condition, one in "this tool actually put food on someone's table" condition, I'm taking the latter every time.

  2. I think I used Amplitube, once, a long time ago in a music room far, far away. If I'm tracking guitar or bass, I tend to use Guitar Rig. For DAW, I started with something I no longer remember the name of, then, when I switched to PCs, used Pro Audio 9 up through Sonar something or other. Think I got out around Sonar x2 or x3?  Switched to Ableton Live when Gibbons bought Cakewalk. Couple version upgrades after that, I switched to Cubase Pro, primarily, but keep Live around and updated. I tend to move between them, depending on what I'm trying to accomplish.

  3. Of all the non-solid body Heritages I've lusted after, I have lusted after none so much as that one Randy won at PSP I (or was it later than that? early days anyway). 530, I think...P90s, trapeze. Of course, I can't play anywhere near as good as he (or anyone else here) does, so it'd be wasted on me, but....

@rockabilly69 that is a beautiful instrument. Love the burst!

  4. Not an owner but lookin' to become one if the right LEFTY presents itself. I posted on the 'for sale/buy' section earlier today. Looking for an H535 or 555. Will need to part with something...but that's par for the course. Greetings from WV.

Welcome to the Club! Good luck with your search for a lefty 535/55; hope you score The One. Where in WV are you from? When we head down that way, we try to plan things so we can hit Tricky Fish in Charleston for a late lunch/early dinner; fun little joint.

  5. Wow, looks like I've missed a fair few new members! Welcome to the Club, everyone! Some great looking guitars posted here (as always)...that H-357 is uber-cool. I'm excited to see another H-160V..you have the twin to mine Buzzel. Well, paternal twins, as your single coils look different than the stock Schallers in mine.

  6. Dang...a lot of new members here! I've really been slacking off in keeping up with this thread. So...

To all the new members...Welcome to The Club!

Speaking of the growing membership base, when I was talking to Ren this afternoon, he was surprised that we were up around 1400 members already. The guys and gals at the factory sure think highly of you folks!

  7. A biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig HOC welcome to Fred and Bill! I wouldn't worry about the warn meter. As far as I know, nobody has ever been suspended or banned (outside of spammers) from this joint. And if anyone should be, it's me. :D

Bill...I'm about an hour northwest of you, in Midland. There are a few Michiganders here, as you might imagine. Didn't know about the Blues thing in Lansing. I'll have to see if I can swing down there!

  8. It is nice to see all these new people here! Welcome to the HOC!!!!

Dont be shy to post pics of your Heritage...we love pics around here!!!

I was surprised to see so many 'new' people, too. Then I started looking at member numbers and realized that quite a few are not new, they've been here all along! YAY!
