Hi Bob, I don't know anything about Seymour Duncan amps or their £ Value. What are the tones like? Also, at some point I may well sell the 555, would you want first refusal if I do? don't know what to replace it with though.

Many thanks indeed.

Thanks DB, with the weight loss, it took me a while to get going but I am successfully losing weight now and I am hoping that I will continue to do so.

Hi DB, £350 is collectively for the band, so we split it four ways. We are in Pounds sterling here, as Great Britain is not in the Euro - thankfully. The pound is worth more than the euro.
We tend to manage the band ourselves to ensure that we play where we want to play and not where some one sends us.
And, thanks for reading and taking the trouble to comment.

A great read. Thanks for posting, and for doing something so positive.

Carpe Deum.... But also, you had the option of refusing it as not being saisfactory. It's no good accepting a product knowing it's not up to your standard and then complaining. if it is any consolation, many top players are using imperfect guitars.
If you are not happy, take it back to the seller.

No Problem at all with a song list, but I am just checking in before getting int he shower to get ready for work so will send you details later.

Many thanks for your kind words Shoman.

many thanks for the kind words.

Many thanks Beagle!

There were times when I really did not want to go to band practice, but we carried on and it's good now. Thanks for being kind enough to read and leave a comment, it is much appreciated.

We're now actively looking for gigs, so hopefully we will get some to report about.
-
Many thanks - We will miss our friend very much, like many who go prematurely, he was a great guy but more importantly just a good human being.
As for the band, well, I have put too much effort into getting it going to let it go at this point!
-
Thanks for the kind comments, I don't think I could be a solo act myself, with me it's very much a band thing.
-
I would agree, we play what we have and discover why we bought them.
-
Thanks Dick (is that your real name or a play on words??) The gig is at the end of March and we will let you know how we get on then.
-
Yes he's right in there, and not only that, he has spent some money on really good PA.

Peter Green - Hull's hardest working musician! New years eve seems a long time ago now Pete!

Many thanks Randy, I am trying to make it interesting to those kind enough to read. I am looking forward to writing about actual gigs.

I totally agree with you about Mustang Sally, it really is overdone to death. I have not heard the track "When I come Home", I will have a listen to it on you tube. I just can not summon up the mental effort to play Born to be Wild.
Thanks for reading and for the reply.

Thanks for the kind words, manners maketh man is the old saying. You would think the support act would be more respectful to the main act. I really like Wishbone Ash and listen to their music at least once each week.

Nice blog Pete, always great to hear some guitar playing history - keep going, when you stop you vegitate....

Many thanks for all the great comments, they are very much appreciated.

Thanks for the kind words Tim, and for taking the trouble to read my blog. As two of us are attending family events next weekend we are taking a weekend off rehearsals, but I will let you all know how we get on sorting out the sound.
Recording set up.

Nice blog post Pete, will look forward to hearing the tracks when complete. It's great to have played the actual guitars you write about. See you next time I come to Hull.
