Good on ya, Deluxe Reverb needs reverb! But not more cowbell.
-
It's got a marvelous clean tone! It's on a roller stand now so moving it around the playing space is not too bad. I was intrigued to learn that the Twin has much in common with the mighty Showman amp!

found locally at a killer price, picking it up this afternoon . . . the Deluxe Reverb will take a breather . . .

On the subject of Wolfetones, I have a brand new set of Wolfetone Dr. Vintage, box never opened, that I'll sell for $190, shipped, lower 48. Dr. Vintage are similar to Legends.
-
fwiw, I have a 535 with 59s and one with Seths. The Seths are sweeter and smoother. I plan to sell the 59-equipped guitar but will keep the 535 with the Seth Lovers.

Sweet 16 in an excellent 3 piece combo playing a steak house gig. Reddish sunburst with split parrelelograms. Picture to follow.

I was making sly reference to the Doobies tune

this website's unwieldy edit property wrecked my efforts to polish the preceding post . . . The short of it is that Heritage works with Sweetwater for the "Exclusive" releases. Heritage goodness with some one-off variety. My new one has Seth Lovers which was a key consideration in pulling the trigger. H's 225 humbuckers don't garner universal praise and I don't want to gamble with tone since tried-and-true pickup choices are out there. Quick aside, my Sweetwater Exclusive H-150 from earlier in the fall has Lollar Imperials and they're the cat's meow. Good job, H and SW!

This bad boy joined the herd over the weekend . . . I'm not normally one for factory aging but the one in this thread

referencing this thread: https://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/topic/38369-used-530-incoming-inspired-by-trich/ finally got the wolftone dr. vintage humbuckers disguised as P-90s installed in the subject guitar . . . i chose the cream color pickup surrounds and glad that i did . . . tone is a little less "focused" than a 535 but certainly soft and round . . . scratched the itch! thanks for looking!

and you and I are well set on the H-535 front! I bought a pair of the Legends' cousin, the Dr. Vintage, thinking I'd install them in a Gibson LP Studio. However, the LP sounds too goo to mess with so methinks the 59s in the new 535 will get 86'd and replaced with the Dr. Vs. I guess I've become a Wolfetone fanboi . . .

Quest is ovah, found the sound! Wolfetone Legends in 535 I bought used from Dave's. Neck pickup with tone rolled all the way down. A-B'd with the 535 (Duncan 59s) I purchased at PSP. Noticeable difference . . .

H website doesn't show AN finish available. A few dealers still list 535s in AN. Anyone know when the discontinuance happened? Thank you for info!

Good question, Rich . . . my guess is that the Richcaster will sit at the outside with the 535 in the middle. I'll be able to tell my axes from a hole in the ground! 🤣

I thought I was done chasing the full-hollow-with-humbuckers will o' the wisp. Then, the esteemed Talisman Rich posted in another thread that Wolftone makes HBs in P-90 size . . . Little wheels in little head turned . . . Found a 2023 530 in ebony at Dave's Guitar for $1750 and bought Wolftone Legends for it . . . Ebony is good color so I can tell my axes apart: 535 in OSB, 530 in red, and now RichCaster in ebony . . . Looking for good bankruptcy lawyer . . .

Sweetwater gave me a great deal on a standard H-575, but . . .

I was getting into acoustic in a big way and playing very little electric when I sold you the prospect. I don't think I explored the nuances of the prospect thoroughly while I had it. -

Thanks for the kind words, Rich. The 530 has risen rapidly in the hierarchy of go-to guitars. I was apprehensive about the P-90s because they're single coil (I think) and I detest single-coil buzz. There's no buzz and I love some of the righteous tones I can dial in. The light weight of the 530 is a nice bonus! My first H was a 530 built to order for me in 2009 or 2010 and I knew not squat about pickup voicings back then. -
Will do, Rich! Loving it already!

Yes . . . I changed my thinking and got a 530 for more variety. It came today and I'm glad to have it!

What’s happening at Heritage on September 25th?
eljay replied to MelodiusThunk's topic in Heritage Guitars
"I'm underwhelmed" he said in true curmudgeonly fashion . . . -
and I popped for a brand new 530 in red!
