  1. Good on ya, Deluxe Reverb needs reverb! But not more cowbell.
  2. It's got a marvelous clean tone! It's on a roller stand now so moving it around the playing space is not too bad. I was intrigued to learn that the Twin has much in common with the mighty Showman amp!
  3. found locally at a killer price, picking it up this afternoon . . . the Deluxe Reverb will take a breather . . .
  4. On the subject of Wolfetones, I have a brand new set of Wolfetone Dr. Vintage, box never opened, that I'll sell for $190, shipped, lower 48. Dr. Vintage are similar to Legends.
  5. fwiw, I have a 535 with 59s and one with Seths. The Seths are sweeter and smoother. I plan to sell the 59-equipped guitar but will keep the 535 with the Seth Lovers.
  6. Here's the photo
  7. Sweet 16 in an excellent 3 piece combo playing a steak house gig. Reddish sunburst with split parrelelograms. Picture to follow.
  8. I was making sly reference to the Doobies tune
  9. this website's unwieldy edit property wrecked my efforts to polish the preceding post . . . The short of it is that Heritage works with Sweetwater for the "Exclusive" releases. Heritage goodness with some one-off variety. My new one has Seth Lovers which was a key consideration in pulling the trigger. H's 225 humbuckers don't garner universal praise and I don't want to gamble with tone since tried-and-true pickup choices are out there. Quick aside, my Sweetwater Exclusive H-150 from earlier in the fall has Lollar Imperials and they're the cat's meow. Good job, H and SW!
  10. This bad boy joined the herd over the weekend . . . I'm not normally one for factory aging but the one in this thread
  11. referencing this thread: https://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/topic/38369-used-530-incoming-inspired-by-trich/ finally got the wolftone dr. vintage humbuckers disguised as P-90s installed in the subject guitar . . . i chose the cream color pickup surrounds and glad that i did . . . tone is a little less "focused" than a 535 but certainly soft and round . . . scratched the itch! thanks for looking!
  12. and you and I are well set on the H-535 front! I bought a pair of the Legends' cousin, the Dr. Vintage, thinking I'd install them in a Gibson LP Studio. However, the LP sounds too goo to mess with so methinks the 59s in the new 535 will get 86'd and replaced with the Dr. Vs. I guess I've become a Wolfetone fanboi . . .
  13. Quest is ovah, found the sound! Wolfetone Legends in 535 I bought used from Dave's. Neck pickup with tone rolled all the way down. A-B'd with the 535 (Duncan 59s) I purchased at PSP. Noticeable difference . . .
  14. . . . and so I bought one! arrived last evening . . . gonna mess with it today . . .
  15. Play yer delightful Millie🎸 to pass the time!
  16. Thanks, Josh, I appreciate your input
  17. I heard it at the VFW and was quite impressed! I've scrounged up my MXR equalizer and will mess with it and the 535.
  18. Update, I fiddled around with pickup selection and tone controls and found that the neck pup only and treble rolled way down yield tone similar to what I've been after. Progress made! Also must consider the possibility that effects pedal is in the mix. I'm playing straight into the amp with just a bit of reverb dialed up.
  19. Very informative, Rich, thanks kindly!
  20. Well, PSP got a little spendy for me . . . bought the pictured 535 standard (with same OSB finish as TRich's new 530). Point 1: I'm trying to recreate the tone as heard on a couple of Doobie Brothers songs, South City Midnight Lady and Another Park, Another Sunday. My best guess is that the guitar played on those songs is a G 335. Can anyone confirm this? Point 2: If the guitar is a 335, how can I get my new 535 to sound like this? SD 59s are in the new axe and I haven't been able to get the tone I seek. I see mixed reviews of the 59s here on HOC and I wonder if Seth Lovers would get me closer? Or, just change the magnets in the 59s to alnico 2 or 3? Or . . . ? Comments and insights most appreciated! Thanks, eljay
  21. Way to go, Rich! My first H was a 530. I bought a 535 with the same finish as your 530 and it just arrived today!
