  1. Been playing for 50 years. Got my lefty Golden Eagle in 2004 from Jeff Hale Music. It doesn't go with me to gigs. It's the best sounding and most playable instrument I have ever touched.

Just found HOC today, searching for info on adding a strap button.

How many lefty players in the club?

There's a couple of lefty players actively posting on the HOC, with quite a few more in the wings. :icon_pirat:

There used to be a pic on the Heritage site showing two possible positions for a strap button. I think I have it some where.

  2. Nothing really odd ball about VIP, it was a factory option until fairly recently. My '86 170 and VIP2 both had the original VIP with three mini switches. The 170 now has P-Rails and the minis control them, the VIP2 was upgraded to HRWs with D-VIP, two miniswitches. Can't say I use the options much, usually just use the full humbucker sounds.

As for G&L you could say I'm partial to one or two, have you checked out the G&LDP ? http://www.guitarsby...gldp/index.php3

And for older Japanese guitars there is the Japanaxe forum ... http://forum.japanax...hpBB3/index.php

  3. Geriatric semi retired bass player who still dabbles a bit on guitar.

Currently in three bands so I guess I am not as retired as I thought I was....

I persuaded my brother in Florida to buy a new natural H535 years ago instead of the used but not old ES335TD he was considering.

He paid $1300 dollars for it and still loves that guitar.

Wish I had followed my own advice, but I had left Tennesseee and was living on a tiny island in the Mediterranean sea and had no $$$ at the time!

So here I am, years later, back in the UK and hankering after a decent semi.

Unfortunately the trip across the Atlantic pretty much hammers the price of Heritages in the UK, so I am hoping to find a H530 or H535 on here that I can get shipped to my bro for onward transmission when he comes over to the UK later this year.

    Sooo... whaddaya got, guys?

Hi and welcome to the HOC. Have you checked out the bay watch area of the site ? There's a 535 for sale on Ebay UK at the moment, looks like it might go for a reasonable price

  4. Hi everybody,

I purchased my first (only) Heritage a couple of months ago - an '88 Golden Eagle. It is an outstanding instrument! I'd like to find a nice 535 or 555, so if you have one that you're thinking of parting with feel free to drop me a line.

I'd like to update my profile photo with shot of my archtop, but I keep getting errors when I try (from my Mac, if that makes any difference). It finds the image, spins for a few seconds, and comes back with some kind of "no can do" error. The image was reduced in quality/size so that it is now about 600 KB.

Anyway, this is a great site with lots of knowledgable and supportive folks, so good on ya! Wish I was closer to MI - the annual event at Kalamazoo sounds like a gas.

While I'm rambling on, if there are other GE owners out there with the single floating pickup model, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Mine came with the pickguard assembly removed, and I'm having trouble getting it to line up properly. I could take it to a shop, but it seems like it should be a simple little task to do!

Finally, have any of you achtop owners out there added a tone pot to your stock rig? Once I hear how mine sounds plugged in (great, I'm sure), I may add one but would appreciate hearing experiences from others before I do.

There ya have it. Cheers from Colorado!

    Scott

    Hi and welcome !

Your avatar pic, the one under your username, needs to be about 100 x 100, square works best. Not sure if that's the photo you're referring to. And photos of your Golden Eagle are required ( if only to keep the natives from getting restless :icon_jokercolor: )

  5. Hi guys I'm new over here and a proud first time Heritage owner. I am a regular over at leftyfrets (yes I'm a lefty). I really am glad to have found this place to discuss these wonderul instruments. I have had so many compliments on both the looks and tone of my new Heritage and I have only had it ten days as of today. It's really surprised me some of the compliments I have received lately considering the other guitars I own, but hey that's a good thing. I've owned quite a few guitars but there is something very special going on with this one. It is my avatar pic.

Hi and welcome from another lefty. There seems to be a lot of new lefty members lately.

Hope you are enjoying your new 140 !

  6. Bad picture. I know.

So you're the guy who's hyjacking all those lefties on E bay

Or did you ordered at a dealer?

So you have Ebay too !!!

Most of mine are bought used, there is no dealer network in Ireland, the UK has maybe one or two dealers, so Ebay it is ! You have Haar Guitars in the Netherlands, they do stock leftys I think.

Also as I'm sure you know being a lefty doesn't help. The 576 pictured is from 1996 and it's a discontinued model. Lefty Heritages do appear from time to time, there was one for sale last week on the forum.

  7. Hi Southpawguy,

    Greetings to you also.

I've got 1 bad picture on my PC but i don't know how to upload it. i'm a noob.

What kind of Heritage do you own?

It needs to be below 1mb, with say a size of 1024 x 768.

    That should do it.

    ==================

I have one or two Heritages :D

the last one I received was a 576.

  8. Hi, I'm Wout and i live in the Netherlands.

    I'm a lefty and i own a H-150 CM ultra VSB with HRW's (2005)

I also owned a H-155 millenium amber translucent. ( i can shoot myself for letting that one go )

Great guitars. Who needs the G?

Welcome to the HOC fellow lefty and greetings from Ireland ! There are quite a few leftys on the HOC. Do you have any photos of your 150 ? We do like our pictures !

  9. Hi All, Just bought my first Heritage (2004 H-535) and cant put it down...I will be visiting the factory next week and cant wait. They told me to bring my guitar and they would check it over for me. Just thought I would say hello.

Having trouble getting a pic on my profile...

Hi and welcome to the HOC, nice 535 you have there. Almost looks like an ebony board on that one ?

  10. Ok, I'll give this a try.

Purchased my first Heritage today. Johnny Rose Lefty. Won't actually have the guitar until Friday-ish. The folks on this website are partly responsible for my purchase. Your stunning reviews of Jay Wolfe tipped the scales.

    More to follow...............

Hi and Welcome to the HOC, greetings from Ireland and hello from another lefty ! Good catch with the Johnny Rose, please post pics when you receive it.
