    It is unnatural for any corporation to not seek to increase their revenue. Resting on their laurels, never an option. I /we should be happy 225 Parsons is still building great instruments. Affordable 137 and 150s to new players who might wish to trade up to a Kalamazoo, that's a good thing.

It's cosmetically pretty banged but the Cherry Burst flame top is still gorgeous! I made the shop take the pickups out to assure they are original. All is as it was built in 1996 with the exception of one volume pot. The switch is sticky and the pickups are a bit dark and muddy. Also, the volume knobs don't turn the volume down as evenly as I'd like. I don't want to modify this thing since it's as old and cool as it is but I'm very tempted to upgrade the electronics. Is that considered sacrilegious??

    Currently I mostly play Music Man Albert Lee, Strats, Teles, and I do have a Les Paul.  Been hankering for the 137 ever since seeing (and hearing) John Bohlinger's gear review on it.  I play mostly blues and rock, some country. Intermediate ability, not presently in a band.

     

    Really looking forward to this guitar!

    Hello, my name is Chris and I recently joined the forum. I've been lucky enough to go on two factory tours and meet the great folks in Kalamazoo.

     

    I have a TV yellow H-137 and recently ordered a Honey Lemon H-157W.

     

    I really enjoy the info here and am totally hooked!

    I'm Kenny V from Cleveland, OH. I took the Heritage Guitar tour a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with the H-535. I don't own a Heritage at the moment but I have been looking for one. I was thinking of buying a H-535 with two Seymor Duncan Humbucker 59's. I have noticed a combination of the humbucker 59 in the neck position and a Seth Lover Humbucker in the bridge position on line. I play at lot of American song book music and jazz, but occasionally 60's rock. I'm looking for some feedback from H-535 owners about their guitars and choice of pickups. My current go to guitar is a Gibson ES335 with classic 57 pickups. I love the sound of this guitar and pickup combination. For the record, I have taken the Gibson factory tour in Memphis and the Heritage tour is far superior. I highly recommend going to Kalamazoo and go on a tour of the factory.

    Hi Guys!

     

    My name is Tom, and I'm a session guitarist and part time tech and tinkerer. I've recently been contacted by another tech trying to solve a botched repair job on a D-VIP. The previous tech had removed EVERTHING from the guitar, and the only info i've been able to find has been from the heritage site. We've mailed heritage with no response too. Please help me put this axe back to its former glory? I'll start a thread shortly.
