  1. I only have 1 H150 it's a goldtop built in 2006 purchased 2009 from Jupiter Florida for $1800 used. Guess the internet did not have a "what would this cost 9 years ago" function back in the day
  2. Rich, We went to different schools. My math is a little different. Every guitar made in the USA that a musician can't afford is a guitar not sold and not manufactured. In the 60's a teenager started out on a Kent and graduated to a Fender, Gibson or Guild. If a Fender, it was a Mustang the Gibson was single pickup Junior the guild a Starfire 3. What is the current price point for a Collins, Gibson, Taylor or Heritage made in the USA?
  3. Sir Brently, $1,200 in 2026 vs $1800 for a US built H150 in 2006, don't know what the currency conversion is but that is not a bolt on neck and these features are arguably something preferable. Without hands and ears on it it's hard to make a value judgment. Best not sell something short just because of where it was built.
  4. I strung up my 147 with half rounds. The worst of each type I say, but that is just my fingers and ears
  5. Hope you never washed it after the inaugural event. It might still smell of sawdust from Marv, Jim, JP and Ren.
  6. Even better your choice was made with hands and ears! To paraphrase the words of the great Groucho Marx "who do you believe the guitar or your own eyes"!
  7. Wow! If this was a clear winner over several CC 535s as well as Gibsons, I can only imagine it plays and sounds as good as it looks. And it looks fantastic!!!
  8. So, pay it forward or play it forward?
  9. LOVELY Some lumber on that 575!
  10. Saw one at a PSP can't remember which one but I should appear in the group photo. Could have been 2012 or 2013. That was the reason I asked Marv to build my 147
  11. Killer! All class that one is!
  12. Ridden hard and put away wet. Kidding I consider statements from the seller as suspect. We know the neck and body lumber being inaccurate. Unscrewing the control plate confirms what Rich and I noticed from the photo. Not the first time a seller reported only driven on Sundays to church by a little old lady.
  13. Rich, Not surprised a 10 year old guitar has nickel or chrome hardware with a patina, is dirty and looks aged. Might be an indication it was played and loved rather that left under the bed.
  14. Very nice! I question the description of the neck. It appears to be a three piece consisting of Korina and Maple. When I was at a PSP and picked out a neck blank, I chose a three piece Korina / maple they had lying around. Could be an employee build which IMO is better than a production with choice of wood and attention to detail. So there is that.
  15. I had spoken with Rem about what he calls "rocking torque" It pressure the studs on the bridge to bend toward the tailpiece, but when the strings only touch the saddle tops it creates to most downward force to the body.
  16. Yes I had done that but assumed the OP knew about that as well.😃
  17. Bridge Type Approx. Length ABR‑1 (ABR) Shorter, narrower footprint Vintage design; limited saddle travel; lighter. Nashville Longer, wider footprint Modern design; more intonation range; larger body and saddle slots. Farber is ABR-1 sized. You can also top wrap the stop tail for better clearance, but the disadvantages are scaring the surface and if your style has your palm scraping over the strings, not too comfortable. Nashville bridges are physically longer because the housing is wider and the saddles have more room to move. ABR‑1 bridges are more compact, which is why vintage Gibson spacing and post locations differ from Nashville-equipped guitars.
  18. On that note: I don't understand the primes of the posters question. I have a natural fret of being tackled, but can't quite wrap my mind around tackling a threat. Superbowl predictions?
  19. My mind must be slipping, OK boomer
  20. Did not see a 555 on Daves sight. Might be mild goose chase. Could only find at Heritage factory and Sweetwater sites.
  21. Can't pull up photos of my 6 heritage guitars in my members gallery. Kind of blacked out. Are they lost forever?
