kbp810
I love my TW style clone... but I sure would love to spend some time with the real thing. From what I've heard his quality of character matched that of the quality of his amps, certainly a man I would have loved to have met during his lifetime RIP Ken
cook
Is it just me, or do the feet of the amp look dangerously close to the edge of the cab? Would be a massive shame for it to fall off!
rjsanders
OK, so, I don't know, so I'll ask. I have an idea of what a Dumble sounds like --Carlton, Santana, Ford, and I own a Fuchs ODS mod., so I even have some sense of how the design works. I've read about Ken Fisher's genius and the Trainwreck amps for a while, and I recognize the look, but I don't associate a particular tone or set of characteristics with the design. So, who should I listen to? What design factors should I keep in mind while listening? Thanks. good example w/Les Paul: Glen's done more & technically "better", but these are still among my favorites. lots on his site or youtube, incl. interviews w/Ken. (also, a Komet Songwriter is a 4xEL84 model, similar to Ken's Rocket in some ways, costs $3600 - kometamps.com)
