Genericmusic
No red colored tape. Probably first generation floating PUP wond by Kenny Rambo.

DC Ron
Heritage #1 +1 My recollection is that the #2 is higher output and is labeled with a red dot on the back side.
Kuz
+1 My recollection is that the #2 is higher output and is labeled with a red dot on the back side. They also made a red dot #3 floater.
Genericmusic
I have a #3 and it has two pieces of red tape (dots) on the back. Kenny Rambo told me it was one of his he made for Heritage.
SouthpawGuy
So these are somewhere between a full size humbucker and mini humbucker in size ?
Genericmusic
My understanding is that they are the size of a standard humbucker. They may also be wired as an un-bucker (two single coils) instead of the humbucker sound wise.
DC Ron
They are the same size as a humbucker on the face, but not as deep. Requires a custom or cut down bobbin. I thought at one time I could cram the guts of a humbucker in there, but not enough depth...

That is right , however a slim bucker http://www.wdmusic.com/HJGN3BK.html will fit in there . you need to remover the bracket, which is easy and maybe add a little Velcro over where the bracket was to buffer it out a little but it fits in there real good. That is what I did for my Eagle, it is just wide and deep enough to fit.
