jazzbo
Hi all, I tend to leave a lot of palm and finger muck on my guitars (sweet 16 and Millenium SAE) . So far I have just been using a slightly damp cloth. I dont want to harm the great finishes, but the muck tends to build up and I want them clean, Appreciate all wisdom thats been tried and works..including recommended clearners that do not contain silicon. thanx

tulk1
So, probably wouldn't want to use one of these, then? Even on low? ;D
davesultra
The Dunlop no.65 cleaner/polish is good stuff, as it has a high water content.
Thundersteel
So, probably wouldn't want to use one of these, then? Even on low? Maybe if you only use 400-grit or finer!
jacques
According to Dan Erlewine and also to my experience saliva is great. It contains enzymes that can break down your muck. Use with caution so you don't get liquid around the frets. If it gets too wet around there and creeps in between fret and fingerboard wood the wood might swell so your frets are worked upwards and out
