pro-fusion Posted May 26, 2009 Share Posted May 26, 2009 My only experience with this was playing a friend's Mesa Dual Rectifier with a Hot Plate. Sounded magnificent, but that was a very high-gain application, of course. I like my cleans to be very clean, so I wouldn't be much help on how to get the "intense but clean" thing going at bedroom volume. I can see how an attenuator would color the sound in that setting.
