For all you people that said that jazz boxes can sound good through little solid state amps, well I UNEQUIVOCALLY DO AGREE!! SouthpawGuy Posted June 25, 2013 Share Posted June 25, 2013 Had a Fender Ultimate Chorus, 2 x 60w stereo SS amp with 2 x 12" speakers. That was very good for ultra clean, and loud, jazz tones. tsp17 Posted June 30, 2013 Share Posted June 30, 2013 So true. if you are looking for a clear, clean, acurate articulation of your guitar's tone at home or small club volume, solid state is super. used it for years both at home and gigging. i'm back in tube mode now, but for portability, reliability, ease of use, and clarity, solid state can't be beat.
