I'll include the caption to this classic photo....

Heritage Guitar co-founder Marvin Lamb holds the last guitar made at Gibson factory, an unplayed 1984 Les Paul Gold Top model, with serial No. 81814002. Lamb placed an order for the last Gibson guitar that was ever in Kalamazoo without knowing it would be a Les Paul model. Lamb started working for Gibson in 1956, at age 16. He hand-drilled holes in the tops of early Les Pauls for the stop-tailpieces (also Goldtops) and then installed the first tune-o-matic bridges on Gibson guitars in the 50s

Thanks for that link, Paul! I think Marv might have a couple of build tags in that shirt pocket, as always....

All this time I thought the guys at Heritage were building my gui-TARS, but I just realized that Marv has been going to 225 Parsons street for 59 years to build us GUIT-ars.... :laughing7:

Marv told me that there have been a lot of reporters around with the Smokestack problem

and of course Heritage celebrating 30 years of excellence.
