  1. So anyway, I'm Dave from Detroit. ( HI DAVE!!) I just picked my 1st Heritage, a Burnt Amber H-555. Whoa! I thought I hit the top of the mountain with the wizards shooting lightning bolts with my ES-335, NOPE!! my H-555 is more fun than a barrel full of pussies!!!

Welcome, oh bearer of vivid expressions! The 555 is a great guitar! I dig the bling on those.

It looks like you have your own nini-guitar store. hahahaha

  3. Hi, HOC

I'm from the north coast of Ohio and have been eyeing Heritage guitars for years. Finally, I pulled the trigger on a brand new H150cm from the boys at Wolfe Guitars. I love American craftsmanship, love the back story on these instruments and will take delivery tomorrow! What stinks is that I'm in LA for two weeks training for a new job and can't get my hands on it till Nov. 22. Can't wait to back to Sweet home Ohio.

Glad to be a part of the club.

Well, ate least you are moving in the right direction. You will love it!

    Welcome!!

Hi there....oddly enough my name is Rick and I'm originally from England. Been living in Houston for 6 years. Now retired and travelling the US in an RV! My Heritage is a 2011 H535. Needs a set up but plays well and the tone is wonderful. Just got it today! :-)

Beautiful guitar! Enjoy your travels! Consider being near Kalamazoo Michigan near the first week of August.

  5. Hi everybody this is Paolo from Rome Italy. I'm a new forumer but I was playing my H 535 (1991) from almost last 7 years. Always being so in love with this really great guitar.

    One strange fact and one question: in the f hole the sheet says "natural" but mine is black (but it seems not to be a refinished guitar at all);

Welcome! I agree, that is a mystery.

  6. Hi. My name is Bob but, my friends call me Bob. After looking for an LP that sounds good, plays great and stays in tune ( those vintage type tuners and the head stock design don't help), I stumbled upon a used H150 at a guitar store just outside of Denver. I've known about Heritage for years but, rarely ever see a used one so, I jumped on the chance to get it. It is absolutely the best guitar I've ever owned! It plays great, sounds amazing, and really stays in tune. No guitar from the company now in TN that I've owned has ever done all three of those things for me.

    Welcome!!!

  7. Hello from western Wisconsin. My name is Bruce; buzzy was a nickname. >50y old, +20y marriage and an accident that’s now in middle school. I’m a reader of gear related internet forums, but a member of only one previously. On a Marshall forum, I had one post about the JTM30 and then forgot my password. It might take me awhile.

Music tastes haven’t changed much; I like just about anything that reminds me of late 60’s thru 70’s rock with a lot of keys & guitar. After a couple of false starts on my own, my brother & cousin got me into a six piece band playing the then current danceable radio rock. As only a hobby, the Eighties saw various line ups and band names with some years having 30 gigs, some none and family/job always being a priority. The last ten plus I’ve been playing Sabbath, Zepplin & AC/DC type stuff with a couple of friends and numerous bassists/drummers. Now we occasionally get together and rarely play out. Sometimes we just grill, drink beer and watch the grass grow.

The gear collection reflects my tastes and my periods of wealth/poverty. Notably, (for now). I still have my Marshall 1987, a Hiwatt DR103, a Roland RE-201 and a Multimoog. A purge funded my current guitars and a few new amps. I got my H150CM from Wolfe Guitars after stumbling on this forum and juggling my budget. I’m saving for a 157 with a hog top & P90s . Oh, and a couple more amps then I’ll definitely be done. Or, maybe, if I’m flush, I’ll ask about a pine top Milli or Prospect.

    Bruce

Cool story. Welcome! Sabbath, Zepplin & AC/DC type stuff kicks @$$!

  8. Hello,

my name is Julian, I'm a professional guitarist from Darmstadt, Germany (close to Frankfurt Airport) and just recently bought my first Heritage guitar, a Prospect STD. Really great guitar, at the moment I rarely play my others :icon_bounce:

. Amps are Koch-Amps (Multitone, Twintone, Classic SE12). I play many different styles, Jazz, Blues, Country, Rock... for many different bands and projects (live and studio). And now I'll continue sneaking around the forum... :icon_jokercolor:

    Welcome!!!

  9. Greetings Heritage Guitar! My name is Chris, I live on the west coast and this is my first post. After more than a decade of wishing I have at last acquired one of your fine instruments, and I am happy to report it has more than lived up to my expectations. I am proud to at last own one of your beautiful guitars! Thank you! :hello:

Hopefully this picture posts correctly....(newb alert!)

    Welcome! Fabulous looking guitar!

  10. Greetings all.

I just discovered this website after trying to find the neck dimensions online. Although I have owned my 150CM for over a decade, I actually have no idea what the actually measurements are.

My only Heritage is a lefty (duh) almondburst H150CM. Great looking guitar, I will post pictures soon.

There are a number of left handed Heritage guitar owners in the HOC. Welcome! Post photos.

  11. I was planning on reading this thread before posting on it, but only got as far as page 3 of the 80 pages. Sorry tooooooo, loooonggggg, I CAN’T WAIT, I NEED TO POST……

Hello ALL, I am Nancy aka Mrs. Steiner, the beautiful, crazy sidekick of the Steiner. Yes, I married him! I myself do not own a Heritage, although, I am now lusting over Totonka’s Heritage Mandy (deal with it Victor, your Mandy has a stalker)!!! I am the feeder to Steiner’s frenzy of all that is the Heritage. We live amongst 6 Heritage electric guitars; 3 of them are hollow bodies. There are also now 2 Heritage amps and one speaker cab (sorry, I don’t know all their technical names) they are all works of BEAUTY!!

I am honored to be able to hear the Heritages sing their beautiful songs, my favorite Muzak, always running throughout the house.

After all these years I was finally able to meet all of you HOC’s at my first, but not last PSP. It is wonderful putting faces with the names and avatars I have heard so much about throughout these last 7 years. How wonderful it was to experience a PSP first hand, it was beyond my wildest dreams.

How can anyone not appreciate the Heritage Company? They are all artists that produce WORKS of ART!!! I LOVE that they take their time building each and every work of art. I feel honored to be able to show all of those at the Heritage my appreciation for their hard work. You just know it is a labor of LOVE!

And thus it is official, there is another Steiner running amuck!!! :toothy9:

So, that means no cussing, right? hahaha, just kidding

  12. Hello everyone,,,,,my name is (no, not really) vinylman and unlike most of the others I've seen here i only have 'one' Heritage and exactely 'what model' it is is the reason i came here in the first place.

I bought the guitar from an instructor a few years back and didn't realize the 'heritage' of these guitars. He told me of the Kalamazoo plant but I didn't pay any attention beyond that.

So,,,,hello and hoping to make some new friends here.

Welcome! Feel free to upload some nice photos of your Heritage guitar to your profile gallery page (be sure to review the photo rules) so we can have a look at your guitar.

  13. I'm thinking of placing an order for a custom one. It wouldn't be very custom, maybe just P/U and finish. 157s don't seem to be available at many dealers, and I will be back in the States later this year. I may have to fire off an email to them

    Edit: spelling

Where in the United States are you planning to visit? One city in particular?

  14. I never even played it. I was going to "flip" it, since I really didn't gave the cash. I got to the rehearsal spot and, not wanting to leave it sitting in the car, brought it in. The guys asked: "What's THAT guitar?" I explained that it was some guitar I bought and was going to make a nice profit on on E-Bay..."Plug it in" - they said...3 tunes later all I could say is, "The wife is gonna be mad!"

That's how it's done right there! hahaha Awesome!

  15. Hi all, I live in Japan and just got my first Heritage last week. It's a 535, very beat up, but which still cost me an arm and a leg. Worth it though I reckon, anways I'm happy I didn't buy a 335 as I originally wanted to :)

Now if I can only get to stop it from buzzin I'd be completely happy with it...

    attachicon.gifDSC00872.JPG

Welcome! That is a great looking guitar! Hopefully you will be able to find a good set of strings and some assistance with getting the setup done properly.

  16. Greetings all. Dave from Michigan here. I'm a native to the beautiful maple hardwoods of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I believe Gibson and Heritage may have used some maple from that region.

Like PrairieDude, I'm hopeful of becoming a Heritage owner. I posted a Gibson ES 347 for trade in the Non-Heritage section. I imagine I'll need to sell it to buy a Heritage, since a trade is unlikely.

Welcome. I wouldn't write off that trade/partial trade idea so easily.

Also, it seems that since Michigan is where the factory is located, there are a lot more guitar stores there which have Heritage guitars in them than in other parts of the country. So you might have an easier time of trading in ES 347 toward a Heritage locally to you.

  17. Hello Guys and Gals! My name is Steve, but on here I'm PrairieDude. I don't yet own a Heritage guitar, but I certainly hope to one day! I look forward to getting acquainted and learning Heritage history and lore.

As a young man, many years ago, I worked for a small acoustic guitar company that made solid wood guitars taking on the C.F. Martins of the world, so I'm pulling for the little guys!

    Awesome! Welcome!

  18. Jason from Gainesville, FL here. I recently just bought my first Heritage, a 2007 GT H-150. I have been wanting Heritage since probably 95 or so, and recently have started shifting around guitars and trying to build a collection of stuff I enjoy looking at as well as playing. Seemed like a good time to jump on board, so here I am!

Well what took you so long? hahaha

    Welcome!
