Some amazing guitars for sure. That gold H-535 is stunning. I live in Elkhart Indiana. about an hour south of the Heritage Factory. Looking forward to the PSP coming up in August. Can't wait to see the factory. Will your be able to come to that event?

Man, I have been to K-zoo so many times I think I have worn out my welcome.  I can't take long road trips like I used to.  These days I am into side line photography for our local USAFL teams.  I have to save my coin to fly to Austin in October to shoot the finals.  I would love to be there.  A lot of good folks show up.  I have met some of my best friends in K-zoo.

One year Big Bob and I were just north of Ft. Wayne on I-69.  I-69 was a laugh but later we passed a lot of signs advertising, "Dick's Package Store."  That just felt plain old vulgar.

Wow, look at that. A Bigsby is just the coolist piece of hardware on a guitar. That wooden pick guard is awesome too. They should have never gotten rig of that in my opinion.

I have owned 3 535s over the years.  One I sold to Mike Novello.  Another I sold to one of my best friends, Jim.  When Jim passed away two years ago his sister said to take all of his gear and give it to friends.  I sold the gold 535 to another friend, Joe.  Originally I gave one guy a H-150, another a Gretcsh Les Paul style guitar and Joe got the Rick 12.  I  have the Ruby Rick.  Where in Indiana do you hail from mate?  I have people in Muncie.  My cousin's daughter coaches the Daleville High boys basketball team.

Pre-2016 you could get almost anything you wanted. And you likely could have had it at a reasonable cost. These days I’m not sure how that would go.

    The old days were glorious!

IMO the Seths sound "airier" than 59's. SD 59's sound a bit muted & dull to me, in comparison to unpotted pickups.

    I have Seth's in a Millenium hollow ( semi-hollow? ) & like them in there

I don't like the tone of '59s at all.

...which is crazy because people take out the HRWs and then sell them for big money.    It's true that one man's trash is another man's treasure.

I sold my HRWs to a "Guy" in Vegas for a fair price.  I didn't take advantage.

    And nice calipers too.    :occasion14:

Welcome aboard Mike!  I have a 535 as well.  Great tone machines.

Guit, I have an old cheap pair of plastic calipers.  Last week I checked them against a set like in the photo.  The old cheap ones still were dead nuts on but the digital reading and controls were very nice.  Under $50.00 at Lowe's.

Wow such rich history, thanks for engaging and the pictures.  Did you request the slim style D shape neck or it just came out that way?  This guitar is a tone monster - so beefy and narly, like nothing else I own.

I asked for the neck to be as thin as structurally possible.

  8. Hi, I'm NoSnowBlower aka Pete. I'm an old employee of Heritage. 1996 to 2003. I've been reading a lot of your posts, and you seem to be great people.

Hey Pete. I have been to Kzoo for the last 6 years. I will say in any forum that the myth of southern hospitality has nothing on the fantastic people of Kalamazoo, MI.

You may have well worked on several on the Heritage Guitars I have owned. Welcome aboard.

  9.

I would not negate that possibility H. Nice name. You obviously have an electron that I lack. I also lack a Heritage axe. So blue ...

Proton, I might be well placed to design a logo for you free of charge. I have friends who work in the field so I can get ideas. I might have something in my kit ready to go.

A blue Heritage 535 would be light and the tone inside that body would vibrate and ring out like the lights of Chernobyl.

We have a personal messenger here. Don't dismiss it. Send me a PM.

    Ron

  10. Hello and thanks for the invite.

I am now the proud owner of a H555 in the natural finish. Love this guitar. I didn't know anything about Heritage guitars until several weeks ago and had to have one. I use to own a 74 Gibson ES335 in the walnut finish and am partial to the double cutaway.

Hope to meet a few friends and learn more about Heritage guitars. My login ID is jdd55 and I'm from Sheffield, AL. Thanks again!

There goes the forum. The last thing we need is more rednecks from north Alabama here. I am from Huntsville.

  11. This is my first post on the Heritage forum. After a lifetime of playing guitar , I bought my first Heritage a few days ago, a used but pristine 2011 H-550 , an absolute work of art. The guitar plays like a dream and I see more heritage purchases in the future. I made a long drive from Tallahassee, Fl to Jupiter to buy this blonde curvy beauty (guitar) from Wolf Guitars which was a great place to spend the morning. Everybody there was helpful in every way making a great impression for Heritage Guitars. I look forward in participating in the forum and have enjoyed reading and learning my way around

My buddy drove from Jupiter to Huntsville, Al. today. He owns a 550. It has long been one of my favorites. Welcome aboard.
