Both the 140 and 150 can have single piece caps but they are usually split. We tend to gawk at the single piece specimens more and value them. So it's hard to imagine that Heritage would cover a single piece top with any opaque finish unless there are cosmetic flaws in the wood. So my guess is the tops are split in most cases. There should be no difference in tone. The seam is a tiny part of the surface area of the top. Caution: Tone is where we leave science and enter religion and politics.
