Spectrum13
Just was wondering what Parsons Street puts on their premium archtops now that they can't get the HRWs. Noticed Wolfe put 59s on a few of their latest 2011. What would you guys order instead?
tbonesullivan
I saw some "former" HRW guitars at PSP IV and most seemed to have been switched to Seth Lovers. They are great pickups. I really need to explore the pickups on my Kahuna more to see what the HRW's really sound like.
Kuz
Seth Lovers are the "go to" Heritage standard pickups in arch-tops now. I REALLY like HRWs in Heritage arch-tops, but NOT in any of the other Heritage models (ie 150s, 535, ect...). Seth's are great in all guitars, but it has been my experience that they just don't have quite enough output to equalize the string-to-string differences in arch-tops. And, yea, I have adjusted the pole pieces on the Seths. The HRWs have enough power to bump up the volume on the 3rd, 4th, & 5th strings. Just my .
