They sure are a nice pair! BillM, of Blues Junior Fame confirms that the reason there isn't a standby switch on the Blues Junior, as well as any other low wattage Fender amp, is that they don't need one, as the voltage applied to the tubes upon power-up aren't as dramatic as they are on higher wattage amps. Still, a standby switch would conserve tube life slightly if you just wanted to give them a rest during a break in the action, but not power off the amp.
