Doc3
Anyone have an idea of what the current build time is for a Heritage?
peterbright
The dealer you order from should be able to give you an estimate based on your specifications.

Kuz
Heritage usually quotes 12 weeks, but 5-6 months is a fairly accurate apraisal time

Kuz
Time of build can be variable to the time of year, their order status, vacations/halliday schedules. I have waited 3.5 months to 11 months. 5-6 months is a good average and it seems like custom builds are going faster lately.
Redsand
I was quoted 14-16 weeks for my Prospect in the first week of Feb, I've since received a few updates indicating that she's trending towards being ready to rock sometime in early June........something is telling me that this May will seemingly go on FOREVER! MrB
You're all luckier than I. After waiting 23 months for a custom Millie DC, including: a lost order, a wrong guitar, things that needed to be redone, and then getting a call implying it hadn't been started, I finally gave up. See the 'Let's see your Tele' thread in the Family Tree division for my new direction.
holyroller
Is there some kind of down payment when ordering a guitar?
Redsand
Is there some kind of down payment when ordering a guitar? Typically yes, it will vary per dealer. My order required 25% down.
rstein
I ordered a H 157 last month from Wolfe and was told 14-16 weeks. Jay Wolfe requires $550 down on any build and what is nice is he gives you the option to finish paying when it's done or pay on it like a layaway so when it's done it is paid for.
