Heritage Golden Eagle & H-150

Good evening,

I just joined this form tonight and have been researching a ton of information. About 15 years ago, I was given my great uncle's 1988 Golden Eagle (Serial #E080030). While my great uncle owned the guitar, he updated the pick ups and I am currently looking for to purchase the original pick ups. Also, I am trying to get an appraisal for this guitar. From my short research I'm guessing the value of this guitar is between $4,500-$5,000 (I want all my equipment insured).

Lastly, I am looking to purchase a 1999 H-150 (serial #P17802) from a local music shop for $900. This price seems to be listed lower then what I've seen these guitars valued at......I've tried to research a current value on the guitar but I've only been able to find +/- two to three years worth more.

Thanks for any information that can help me....

I have a 1988 Golden Eagle,serial E00201,and reg. no.103 of the first 1000,which I've owned for about

4 years and paid £1500 U.K. for it.I would expect U.S. price to be lower, since easier to find.Mine is an

acoustic GE fitted with a K&K pickup on the underside of the top.

I would not expect the price to vary much because of the year of production, nor would I have thought that

prices have increased in the U.K. in the last 4 years, not sure about U.S.

My H150 is a 2004 H150CM Ultra in natural with HRW pickups which I bought from the US in almost mint

condition around 3 years ago and paid $1425 for (+to me shipment and import taxes).Even with the extra

cost to the UK I still think this was a great deal for a rather special guitar.

According to The Official Vintage Guide Magazine price guide; 1999 Golden Eagle $2400-$2900 and 1999 H-150 $1250-$1550.

While the H150 price range seems close to market, their Golden Eagle prices seem very low. Depending on condition, I'd think they should be worth as much as $3k -$4k depending on options and condition.

The OP should take a look on Ebay 'sold', as well as check Reverb asking and selling prices for each.
