  1. Hello EdPero !

Welcome to the HOC. That is an impressive and enjoyable list of guitars that you have.

Gibbon edit : is it normal it always write Gibbon and not Gib-son ?

that is our usual tendency to write Gibbon( or Gibby ), here at this site...

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side." Hunter S. Thompson

I love your signature, it made me laugh.... :D

( I just noticed that all of those underlined ..link to pictures, nice.

At a quick glance your 150 looks like a 140 to me, but I will have to check again )

  2. Monthlong lurker but not new to Heritage. I have a 2002 h-535 and an older model H-120.

Its great to see such a nice online community dedicated to the best kept secret in the guitar making industry.

Welcome onboard 79Patriot..!!! We look forward to hearing from you and seeing those Kalamazoo beauties. :icon_tongue:

  3. Hello everyone. My name is Brian and I live in Michigan and have been a fan of Heritage Guitars for the last 12 years. I've made it my mission to try and support local business and buy American as much as possible. I love the history of Heritage Guitars and am proud to say they are made here in Michigan. Yesterday was my 41st birthday and I treated myself to a 25th anniversary 535. She is beautiful and I will post some pics soon. I also have a Johnny Smith The Rose. This is a "one-of-a-kind" as it has no fretboard markers in the ebony and is a 16" body insted of the 17" standard. Both are amazing instruments. I have two custom built strat style guitars a Benedetto, Godin nylon string, G&L Blues boy, Epiphone Master Built acoustic and a classical by Richard Brune' in Chicago. I have been playing for around 30 years (man that makes me sound old) and have recently been spending most of my time working on jazz tunes. I am lucky enough to still get calls to sub from time to time but am not playing on a regular basis right now. This looks like a great place to learn and a HUGE thank you to all that share your knowledge and love for Heritage Guitars!!!!!

    Brian

WELCOME to the HOC , Brian....

We would love to see the 535, those all have very sweet tops on them. And that JS the Rose really sounds sweet. We would really, really love to see that one.... welcome and enjoy, and .. start posting.

  4. Thanks FredZepp,

Have never posted a pic on a forum before. Am ignant on that one. The Frank-en-champ is a buttload of fun! Appreciate the welcome...very much.

( Franken-en-champ... the name made me chuckle.. and probably describes it as well as anything..)

  5. Hey there "Wheaties"... ( 212Mavguy )

    Welcome to the HOC.,,

There are a lot of interesting comments in your first post. Lots of nice amp set-ups. The silverface mods sound like you have created an amp nirvana, or at least you're getting there. There is an amp section if you feel the impulse to post more about it....

And the Heritages sound quite extraordinary... If you haven't posted pics yet... expect some requests to do so. The descriptions of each make the desire to see them more inviting...

  6. Hello... Draft, woodstalk, and ricksilvestri,

    WELCOME to the HOC... ;)

It's nice to see that a Heritage made it to Thailand... nice bass there.

Cool sounding 535 with the versatile wiring... hard to beat that one... and , of course, the KB groovemaster is awesome ...

And Rick, nice to know that you're putting the 157 through the paces....

    We love to see pics....!!!!!

  7. Thanks for the pics,Enrico, they came out just fine.... and that's a nice flamey top.

A very sweet looking 150 with that top/finish. I had looked at one like it once , because I do like that combination. Congrats...

And welcome to the HOC, Jericho941, Good luck with your future 150 search.... I'm sure that the 535 is a beauty, I need to add one of those to my list.... any Pics?

  8. Hello and Welcome grooveyard and HIGHDESERTDAVE,

There is a lot of info here , in forums and elsewhere, and I find that surfing the galleries can be a blast also.

And yes , we are all thrilled to have found the Heritage quality instruments and then usually can't stop looking for the next one... B)

We all like talking Heritage and looking and showing pics...

Dave , you do sound like a good candidate for a 535 , given your musical tastes... and your built guitar looks like it turned out quite good....

  9. Hello and Welcome kbp810,

I can relate to the euphoria of the new Heritage.... I now have 5 , but don't have a semi-hollow yet....

yours sounds like it's excellent ...( as many of the semis are )

check out some of the forums and galleries and we hope to hear

    of your Heritage experience ...

  10. When I play Miles Davis I sound like the Grateful Dead

Welcome to the HOC... regarding what is discontinued at Heritage.. unless the site says specifically that it is discontinued .. they just may not have the pics up yet as it is a new site...

If you picked up your Eagle ASB for $ 1500 , then you got a bargain on a beauty of a guitar. ( we like to see pics, just for kicks )

There's lots of info, etc here... check out the forums and the galleries..

  11. Hello FrankV,

Although I'm sorry to hear about your ebay experience, at least it worked out alright.

And how cool of you to support the boys in Kalamazoo. I trust that you will be rewarded with a very happy experience.

As you may , or may not, know... We always love to see something new when the chance presents itself.

If you generate a pic of your new arrival... let us enjoy it too.

And tell us of your experience , sometimes it helps others to decide to do the same thing.

    Welcome to the HOC.

  12. Hello and welcome Mike,

That's a great looking 555. That was a great story about Ren and yes, a good amount of us have been through the factory. We go through as a group at the annual Parsons Street Pilgrimage. ( pics are in the gallery )

So again welcome, and we look forward to hearing more from you...

  13. Hey Fernado,

You may already know that I'm a fan of H-157's, I trust that you'll enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

It's my "go-to" guitar right now.

And the Little One will be cool. Can't wait to hear about that one..

I don't remember anyone giving us the low-down on those rare birds....

Have a Happy New Guitar Day and keep us up to date on what's coming in...

  14. Hey there Fernado,

I'm glad that you moved beyond lurking... ;)

And you were fortunate to grab that wine red H150 from Cryoman. I just knew from the pics that it would be sweet....

The new ones on the way should be really special.

Do you care to disclose which models you have coming in.....? H150"s?

  15. Hello DFire,

There are some $ 1,000 bargains that happen on a Heritage... and also, they did make some more basic versions from time to time. Ebay has some good deals often....

These are the real deal in solidbody guitars... handmade in Kalamazoo of the finest woods, just like the most treasured guitars out there. ( which , as you might know , were made in this plant , on these machines , by these people , of these woods.)

There are not nearly as many Heritage guitars out there to buy as the mass produced brands, so sometimes you've got to look for a while. But the prices right now are really nice.

I think that the pickups will make a difference in what works best for you... of course you can just change 'em out. The Duncans will be good, the schaeller ones I'm not sure. It's time to search for some to try in a store maybe... if only to check out the different models.

And if you haven't been there, check out the Heritage site for info and read their story...

    Heritage Guitar Site

You will find that Heritage provides a quality of guitars that usually costs much , much more...

  16. Welcome to HOC , Bruno. It sounds like you've already realized some of the realities about Heritage, and the factory tour just proves it.

    Finest Quality American Instruments.

Good luck finding "the one" and be aware that these beauties are addictive! Sounds like you're looking at two nice ones.

Or consider the Heritage custom work ....everybody raves about the results..... (lots of great reading material and photos here)

  17. WELCOME to the HOC... Ron and Dave. Glad to have you on board...

Ron, I also have a 157 Black Beauty and find that they just have a special mojo, hope your internet gets fixed, so we get the pics..

Dave, You sure started out with a strong Heritage. To date I've stuck to solid Heritage guitars... but that may change ... lots of awesome semi and hollow Heritages out there. Yours makes me salivate....

  18. Cool... lots of awesome guitars showing up here... and new members welcome. The pics are cool , those are all excellent examples of our favorite Heritage guitars. Check out the gallery section sometime and add to it if you have some cool Heritage pics..... you can tell that we all enjoy seeing, hearing and playing more...and more... of our Kalamazoo guitars..
