Fernando
Hi Fellow HOC-ers, What happened to the HOCTOP 2? One more question: how hard is it to do HOCTOPs more often? I ask because I think we could do more of them, it would be fun in my opinion, anyone agrees? Any down sides or cons or obstacles? koula901
I might be up for it. How are guys recording their tracks? Through plugging the guitar into a computer, or what?
H
I'd be recording through Guitar Tracks Pro 4 software. I'll be honest and upfront; anything I present will not be done in a single take, I'm not good enough or imaginative enough to fill 3 minutes of backing track from a single take. I enjoy the mixing and layering aspect a lot anyway
smurph1
i'm up for it as long as it's a one chord backing track..(a MAJOR chord)..LOL
LK155
Don't know if I'll participate again or not. Have been working hard recently on learning the seven modes: > Idiotic > Pendantic > Agnostic > Moronic > Sophomoric > Draconian > Catatonic Most of my songs start out in the Sophomoric mode, occasionally switch into the Moronic, and always resolve to the Catatonic at the end. FrankV
@LK155, "Most of my songs start out in the Sophomoric mode, occasionally switch into the Moronic, and always resolve to the Catatonic at the end." That's hilarious, thanks for a laugh. You know I'm quoting that!!

Now you're just showing off with your fancy theory knowledge! I'll just stick to what I know - you can expect major use of repetitive, derivative and abortive chords in my submissions.
