bolero
was messing around with my mahogany Eagle, turns out it has a great blues sound! here's a short clip: https://soundcloud.com/roofleaks/eagleclip-1 I even tried doing the stomp like Rockabilly, but it's not as easy as it looks...listening back to it, I get an image of Steve Martin in "The Jerk" saying "look ma, I got rhythm!!" had it running thru my Vox AC4 TV as well as a mic in front....I like the sound a lot. bolero
thanks guys! Barry: yep it's a floating pickup still amazes me how bright it sounds, compared to a traditional humbucker neck mount.
schundog
Nice playing, as always, Chris. I'm surprised at the tone from that "jazz box," too! Very cool.

What's funny is, if you play that floater for a bit then go back to your set humbuckers, those will sound muddy and muffled. The ears adjust.
