New Heritage Model?

Now they should issue a 137 with a lollar charlie christian in the front position and pair it with a thin-finish natural 530 as the "Working Class Hero" series.  Glad to see this guitar, especially since Gibson markets the John Lennon Epi Casino as being made with "Kalamazoo" specs.  I think at least some fans of Beatles/John Lennon guitar sounds might prefer a model actually made in Kalamazoo.  (not to mention the longer and slightly wider neck.  Wonder how they re-engineered the neck joint to avoid the problems that Gibson had with the long-neck version of the 330?)

Jay Wolfe told me a couple of months ago that they were going to produce (at his request) a model G-word hasn't made in quite a while.  I believe its going to be the H530.  An honest to goodness hollow body version of the H535.  G-word produced a model ES-330, a hollow body version of the ES-335.  According to Jay it's going to come equipped with two Lollar P90's standard.  Mr. Wolfe had been waiting for them to produce a prototype.  Maybe this is it.  I'm anxious to to see it and hear it.  I was considering it for my next round of GAS.  Am I close Brent?

The 330 is a famous guitar among jazzers since it was the guitar of choice for Grant Green.  Green was known for his distinct bright, piercing, bluesy tone compared to the more common darker ES-175 sound.

This is a great addition to Heritage's product line that plays to their historic strengths and recreates a guitar that is increasingly becoming the hostage of collectors.  I'm also curious how it compares to the 525.

Incidentally, I got sick of waiting for the day they make a P-90 575, so I went and modified one myself.  Ok, I had the guitar shop modify it, but you get the point.  Now I'm in Lollar heaven whenever I want that creamy 50's jazz guitar sound.

Any chance you'll post some demos of your 575 with the p-90's? Love to hear it!

Also, did the p90's fit right in or was there some sort of modding involved?

p.s. A pic would be awesome!!!

There it is, in a nutshell!  That's a terrific characterization of the Great Intangible that is Heritage Guitars...the reason we all love these things so passionately!  Nice lick, Matt!
