fatherjones.com
I changed the hardware to Nashville TOM and Stoptail -- and did locking Grover drop ins for the tuners. Also, neck p'up is an MFS Mean 90 -- very tasty indeed. Heritage 001.gif Heritage 001.gif_thumb

doggy1972
Welcome. Hows that Mean 90 sound compared to a true p90? Ive been looking at these and, from what I hear, the mean 90 is pretty close.Nice guit BTW.
fatherjones.com
The GFS Mean 90 is very hot and sounds killer. It has a tad more clarity than a humbucker by virtue of being single coil and not cancelling out a bit of upper frequency stuff -- but is wound very hot. Lots of mids -- and power. It brings my all tube Ampeg Jet 20 to the line between clean and soft overdrive very nicely. A real screamer. I normally buy Fralins -- but I think this Mean 90 is better than the comparable Fralin product the 'Split Single.' It reminds me of a hot Gibson p90. fatherjones.com
Anybody have an idea what this would sell for?
doggy1972
Thanks for the report father. Now Im really interested. They seam like some of the best value pups about too. Need p90s
fatherjones.com
Yes, in terms of value this are a slam-dunk. No comparison. Stop shopping. I've tried Phat Cats and Fralins -- and both are of course excellent. But they're not better. And, they cost twice as much.
