Well...cross your fingers for me....

As seen in the classifieds I was looking for a Heritage trade for my Eric Johnson strat.

I had it posted at other forums and got a contact from a guy who's onscreen name and rep I am well

familiar with. He's a good guy and a straight shooter.

What he's willing to trade for my EJ is a 2003 575 Custom in near mint condion.

He's sending more pics but it's either an almond burst or vintage burst.

Fully bound with blocks and chrome hdw.

It's got Fralin Unbuckers in it which are very highly thought of.

I've got to dig up a couple coins in difference but sounds like a deal to me.

If all goes well, we'll consumate the deal first thing next week.

Wish me luck!

Hi 'jazzrat'

That sounds great.A Strat is a Strat.I've got 3,and they all sound good,but a nice 575 on your knee.Nothing like it.The 175 owners know you've got a proper carved top,not a plywood box,and the L4 owner know yours was cheaper than theirs,and it sounds & looks better.Enjoy.

Dude, that very well be the deal of the century.

While I do feel a good Strat is hard to find (there are very few good Strats in my opinion) you can always keep looking for a Strat later.

A Heritage 575 Custom..... going to be Great and much more expensive and harder to get people to let go of them!

Thanks guys, y'all are echoing my thoughts. A good strat is nice and the EJ is a dandy but I've already found

the best 'strat' for me and that happens to be a G & L Legacy that I just love.

The 575 Custom on the other hand is harder to come by.

BTW the current owner knows what a nice guitar he has, he's just playing single coils and p-90's these days

so the 575 is not fitting with his current needs.

I am having to dig up some difference but even at that he is giving me a "nice deal" (his words)

:lol::) :)

The deal is done and few more details.

It's confirmed as Almond Burst with CHROME hdw and another surprise.....an ebony fretboard!

Should be terrific.

Here's a first pic. The seller says it is a little darker than this.
